[ The network post starts up with Eames grabbing his device from his nightstand, a good visual of his bedroom and too brightly patterned comforter coming into view. ]

People leave the City all the time - whether or not they come back isn't up to any of us. Sometimes, if they come back, they'll not remember a thing that happened while they were here last. [ It's unclear whether or not Eames is talking to the Network as a whole or to someone else - eitherway, he's headed out the room and down the stairs of the Inception haus. ]

I'd much rather write up a will than a pre-nup. Under what circumstances would we have to split portions of the future business? Are we going to cut Rhada in half when we decide to not longer be friends? I'll have to pay someone to separate our bloody socks.

[ Grump, grump, grump. At least it's more obvious now Eames is, in fact, addressing Yusuf. He turns the device over in his hand, notes it's on, and though the frustration (apparent as a sarcastic patronisation) is apparent on his face he doesn't shut it off. ]

Who knows where to find a good lawyer?

[ This is Eames too excited over the prospect of sailing to realise it's an innuendo. ]

[She really does have a pirate ship, Eames. Her monster dog is frolicking in the sand and everything.]

Eames has taken his shoes and socks off, the weather still at least passably warm as he pads down the width of the beach toward them and the ship. ]

[Rex is intimidating looking, but all he does when he hears Eames's call is come over and rub himself against the man's shins. He's a spoiled boy. Carla follows after him more slowly.]

You found us.

[ Rex is definitely all sorts of different, compared to the fat blob that is Pancake, but Eames adjusts, reaching down to pat the dog's side. ]

Oh, it wasn't so hard - spot the lone pirate ship, and all that.

[A lone pirate ship captained by a dead woman with a hellhound.]

You should stay like that. I'm sure they'll let you in to eat.

[...Has she ever mentioned her naked brunch with Crowley? She might not even be joking.]

[ He shoots her a mildly perplexed look, digging his fingers into Rex's fur to give him a good scritching. ]

Stay like what?

[She motions at his feet and Rex presses into his hands enthusiastically. He loves scritchings.]

Only if by 'most expensive steak' we mean 'buy copious amounts of boardwalk cone steak until the bank breaks.'

[ Eames doesn't look too affronted eitherway by their options. Then, to the dog, presumably: ] You're a good boy.

[He is a very good boy, in fact. And Carla would bully any waiter who tried to stop her from eating what she wants with whatever company she chooses. She is, underneath all of her scars and bloodstains, a rich bitch at her heart. Rarely is 'no' an acceptable answer in the face of something she really wants.]

Do you want a tour first?

Sure.

[ Of course he does. He straightens finally with a last pat to the dog's side. ] Have you had experience with pirate ships before?

Not like this.

[Which means yes and she turns to lead him up onto the deck rather than elaborating. Rex bolts past them both, heading straight for a chewed up looking blanket in the shade where he happily situates himself. It's his. He loves it, he looks very pleased with himself.]

So- like what, then?

[ Eames looks toward the dog with the same measure of fondness anyone gives cute animals, a crinkle at the corner of his eye before it passes entirely for more interesting things, like the ship and Carla. Carla and the ship, inherited from lesbian rendevous with Isabela. ]

Motorized, a little smaller and sleeker usually.

[She lets him take in the view from the deck for a moment before she heads over to the ladder that leads below deck.]

The cargo is usually bodies or body parts, drugs, or guns.

[ There might be a brief pause before Eames really decides to use the ladder, but it's more of a half-steps worth than anything else. ]

That's certainly a blunt way to put it. Were you happy with that life?

[No. She was never happy with anything because she was a soulless, greedy bitch. However,]

It was entertaining.

[It's dark but clean underneath, empty hammocks for a crew that hasn't been hired, some meager stores. The captain's quarters are mostly as Isabela left them. Carla's had a hard time letting go.]
