143rd Devotion: Listening to the Siren's Call

[The camera flicks on just in time to catch Solomon's bare feet sliding out from under the bedsheets to land lightly onto the floor of a dimly lit room. The chevalier rises, heedless of his actions being recorded, clad only in a pair of pajama pants hanging loosely from his hips.

He hesitates only a moment as his brow furrows, struggling to come to some decision. Just for a moment before his green eyes lift to refocus on the window and he allows himself to move. By his expression, it's clear there's something very distracting outside. Such as a playful bride dancing and laughing outside on the grounds below.]


[ooc: It lives. (Solomon shows some signs of life, starting to come out of his deep seated depression at Saya's departure.) Open to action for anyone living at the mansion, or thru the network device for anyone else. *I'm still sick so replies may be slow.*]

[ Solomon may or may not sense it. But Karl's slipped noiselessly into his room. He leans against the doorjamb, arms crossed, following Solomon's gaze. ]

Don't let Diva catch you wearing that face.

[ A Chevalier exists to serve his Queen alone. Solomon's clear interest in Marishka is ... not puzzling but discomfiting. He suspects Diva won't approve. ]

[ He glances past Solomon, at Marishka's dancing figure. ]

[Still, he reluctantly moves away from the window, returning to the mass of crumpled sheets and blankets on the bed.]

[ He makes a disapproving moue. It's a struggle not to reach out and yank Solomon up. This mood has gone on long enough. ]

Perhaps not now.

But a sense of self-preservation will return, when you're back to your usual self. What then?

Mmm. Good question. I'm still holding out for the deities to toss me away out of boredom. [Flippant, yes. But when you've lost everything... what else really matters at all?]

[ Karl's lived in a state of despair too long to mollycoddle someone in the same place. ]
