My mother was a tree and a needle, as well as being who she was. My father was lightning and a thread. Who am I?

I asked someone what he was and that was all the answer he gave me.

All scientists like puzzles. We like to think if we pick hard enough, we'll really figure out how things work.

That's very admirable. I've been around a really long time and I'm not even sure how most things work.

Yeah, me either, but as long as I keep working on it, I can hope. You know, if not me, then another person down the line, building off of what I've learned...

Do angels not come with a sense of curiosity? Does being close to the source of everything take that away?

It's kind of a free will thing.

Are you implying that you don't have free will?

You know lightening sometimes looks like threads in the sky. Firey threads. Maybe his father lives in the sky.

Maybe his father is Thor and I'm looking at an unlikely kid.

You don't want to answer the free will question?

I think 'unlikely' is a little relative in this place. And not particularly, no.

I should be looking up Thor's kids? We never talked about whether he'd been off acting like the Greek gods, leaving kids in every town.

There are people who argue that no one has free will and everything is predetermined by God. I think they need more imagination or God needs better hobbies.

I'm with you on that one. The second point. The first one is certainly plausible.
