[So, City, today on your Network please enjoy a very special prerecorded pre-dance broadcast, So You Think You Can Dance style, featuring one Princess Rosella of Daventry...]

So I've been paired up this round with, uh, with Doctor Emmett Brown. "Doc". We all just call him "Doc" by now.



When he picked out the card--when he opened it up and held it out and I saw my name inside...



...I just--the first thing that went through my head was...well...oh, goodness, what have I gotten myself into now.



I mean, he's-- [Laughter.] --he could be my grandfather, I wasn't sure if I should be worrying about staying in the competition or just...seeing him fall down and break a hip!



So then practices got underway and we met our choreographer, and the whole time I'm just standing there thinking to myself, is this going to be okay, are we going to make it through this round, should I start preparing myself in advance for a big letdown from the judges? And then we walk through the first, I don't know, sixteen or twenty-four counts, and they put the music on, and the next thing I know, there's Doc dancing circles around me!



And so now I'm thinking, is this going to be okay, am I going to be holding him back, and not the other way around!

[More laughter.]

No, but it's, um, it's a really great piece, the music is great, the steps are fun...Doc's a little more serious than I am, sometimes in between bits I get a bit...



...er, silly...



No, but it's just--it's been such a great experience dancing with him, he's such a great partner, and...you know, I have all these old memories of dancing with my father in our kingdom back home, and this whole time, it's been sort of like having that all over again, so.

I guess...we're just going to go out and do our best and I hope everyone has as much fun watching us as we've had dancing it.



[And after that brief transition and a word from our announcer, there is DANCING. OPPA WESTERN STYLE.]

[I presume this is after the performance is over so she is probably SLIGHTLY BREATHLESS but also in a very good mood.]

Oh, Steve! I'm so glad to see you, what did you think of the show?

[punchedhitler]

I've never really seen dancing like that.

[primrosella]

Yes, I know, isn't it odd? It's really not my style at all, I'm much better at swing and the ballroom dances, but Doc is quite the master at this one, it seems!

[punchedhitler]

He's very good too.

[primrosella]

Goodness, I just hope the judges think so. Moreso than everyone else, that is.

[punchedhitler]

I'm sure they will.

[ After that broadcast performance, Doc is all smiles. Once offstage and out of the limelight, he removes his hat - a glitzy variation of the western vibe, of course - and gives her a gracious bow. ]

Princess Rosella. Regardless of the outcome, I must thank you; it has been a delight dancing with you, my lady.

Oh, goodness, the pleasure was all mine! I had no idea, you know--er, that is, I never could've dreamed we'd have nearly so much fun, but oh, it was a lovely experience to have you as a partner.

Well, I'm glad that I managed to surprise you, despite any of my more grandfatherly qualities.

[The smile that accompanies that is extremely well-humored, making sure the words don't sound like he's insulted or anything of the sort.]

[It's humor she's grateful for, too, considering how hard she starts to blush at that. She meant it in the best possible way, really.]

I just--well, I suppose I learned my lesson, didn't I, about looks being deceiving! Really, I do owe you an apology for jumping to conclusions, and I am sorry about that. And terribly glad to be proven wrong, too!

[His smile just spreads. A bit of confidence in spite of age does sort of come naturally when you've undergone de-aging processes.]

Oh, it's quite all right, really. I'm truthfully gratified to have had the honor and the opportunity to prove you wrong. And really, you were quite gracious.

How does it work? I've never really watched reality tv before. Too scripted.

Well, I think it goes that we've danced and the judges have given their remarks, so they'll decide which of the couples are at risk of elimination and then let the watchers vote on who gets to stay. But no matter how we do, it's always nice to know there's someone cheering for you, isn't it?

[It's hard to tell, but he's not judging. Really. He's just broken.]

[Carla doesn't have words for how lovely it is, obviously, and laughs at herself dryly.]

Yeah, sure. I don't dance much.

[Oh, come on, they had fun. That's what matters, right?]

Really? Is it because you don't like to, or just that you never learned?
