Saying the Police Force isn't sufficient at our job when we're mostly comprised of HUMAN officers is unfair enough. Saying we don't do our job when no one even contacted us? Goes beyond that. That's when you're just being a whiny asshole.
So, instead of being one, how about next time something happens you, the citizens, call us up, huh?
I'm Setsuna Mudou, and I give you full permission to call me, message me, anything, next time something goes down. I can actually do something about the more supernatural happenings, like the fire that happened the other day. You need to keep us up to speed, though. We're all just individuals and can't be everywhere all the time.

Not that it matters, of course, if you're willing to help.
The fire was really magnificently enormous, though, I've no idea how you managed to miss it.

And the City is far bigger than that fire was. Easy to miss if you're not in the area. My second job is in the zoo, and that's where I was when it happened. Deep in the zoo.

assume they meet up?
Sure! Do you want to plan out what actually happened? I'm on AIM or wherever if so.
I'll send a PM when I can think more clearly? My AIM is homgsekrit, I'll try to sign on this week
Awesome! I'm on every day after six, except weekends, when I'm on all day.

Also, I realize I haven't reached out enough. Maybe if people know me, and know they can get ahold of me, we can prevent some of this stuff next time. Or at least handle it quicker.

I was at my second job, at the zoo, at the time things happened. If I had gotten a call, though, I could've gone out there.

1) It's been admitted by one of their own, Police Force were aware of the situation (news of which was all over the Network) at the time and yet couldn't attend to the scene because of not getting a direct call from the public?? In my world, when an explosion happens in a populated area, law enforcement doesn't sit around the station and watch while waiting for the phone to ring. They spring into action.
2) No statement whatsoever issued to the public.
3) Buck passing to the fire department and blame turned around onto the public.
They dropped, yet again, the ball. Not surprising no one calls them.

I wasn't on duty, and I don't go checking my damn device every moment of the day. I have other stuff to do, like my other job. The other guys aren't any different. They don't LIVE on the network. And what do you expect the most of them to have done anyway? They might've just gotten BURNED to nothing over it.
We're unorganized. I'm not going to argue that. Not much we can tell the public though, that they don't already know.
We have no fire department, but I know I can manipulate water, and I doubt I'm the only one. Maybe a fire department is needed, because they would've been more helpful for that fiasco at the time of it. The most the majority of the officers could have done is arrest the individual responsible.
Re: (Filtered)
Common saying from the homeworld: Even when off-duty, cops are on-duty. It's known to be a twenty-four-seven job, sometimes continuing on into retirement. Serious commitment and you can't shrug off responsibility.
The point of law enforcement at a fire is to help keep control. They clear the surrounding area and cordoned it off; constantly monitor the situation and thus create a flow of vital information. Also lend aid where needed.
Yes, no fire department - which makes the buck passing all the more worse.
Lack of good leadership, little to no organization, poor team effort if any, education - you made it abundantly clear have no idea what the job actually entails, training - doubtful anyone has at least basic knowledge of firearms and defensive moves, and very bad PR. Not surprising few wish to support and or join the group.

All it would take is someone to call me at those times. Which is why I'm reaching out like this.
Instead of criticizing, do something or shut up. Because, again, all you're doing is whining about something you're not involved with and not helping.

Since Justin just got back, take it up with him after he's gotten settled again? I'm kinda happy he showed up. There's a lot we should probably do. I didn't even know some people that are WERE on the force.

[Not actually knocking it but you know nir nature and everything...]
Although, perhaps those that are concerned should start their own instead?
And he pretty much ignores the human law thing....
Though, yeah, if someone doesn't like it, they can join to help, or make their own. Do something.
of course he did
Not just in this conversation, is what I mean - he doesn't care about it
so helpful, just doesn't care about the whos and whys
Pretty much. Just details to him, of laws that don't pertain to or help non-humans

I think it does. I've rarely seen the Police make many public announcements.

I'm handling it. And Steve and Justin are probably gonna talk about bigger details to do something.
