[ Hello, City. Instead of more people discovering sand in things, this accidental broadcast seems to be showing two familiar ladies doing... something outside. Natasha is pressed up against Ariadne's back, one hand on the shorter woman's hip as she slides her back slightly, adjusting the way she's standing. ]

This gives us a better angle.

[ Natasha's other hand is on Ariadne's arm, and now she's shifting that, too. ]

Eyes forward.

[ There's a quiet noise of assent from Ariadne, and then Natasha shifts, tucking some hair behind Ariadne's ear. Lips close in, moving as the redhead says something. It's probably a wonderful sight for some of the City's residents...

...and then something shiny and sharp flies out of Ariadne's hand, embedding itself in one of the targets and making some sand trickle off the top upon impact. ]

I did it!

[ And that, City, is how to use throwing knives. ]

Apparently. Was that your first lesson?

Yeah, it was. Just the end of it, anyway.

Oh, good. So this is just your starting point for lethality.

[Still impressed, with a fair bit of amusement in there.]

I'll do my best not to send you any patients.

That's alright... just make sure they deserve it if you do.

Well, and be careful not to overexert yourself.

I will be. I'm still supposed to be icing my shoulder, right?

For a couple more days. It should be fine, just keep an eye out for any unusual soreness.

Got it. My kitten's finally learned that he shouldn't sit on the bruise, so that's been helping.

Oh, I'm sure he had the best intentions, really.

Assuming that his sisters are any indication - sweet if a bit misguided.

Probably. He's a cuddler.

How many did you take?

Two. I told him I could provide a home if there were any left. I wasn't planning on two of them, but I suppose it is nice that they're together.

Yeah, definitely. We've already got a corgi, an adult cat, and a bird, so Biscuit has plenty of playmates -- though the dog and the cat really have no idea what to make of him.

[dr_conscience]

Sounds like quite the menagerie you have there... and I'm sure when he gets a bit older, they'll be less baffled by him.

The girls do also have my roommate, I suppose; they seem very fond of him.

Maybe. He got to play with one of his brothers after I adopted him, and he seemed to enjoy that more than bothering them -- probably because his brother played back.

How does your roommate feel about that?

Maybe he should just have a few playdates with his siblings.

He's... not thrilled.

Are you offering?

Ouch. I'm lucky; my roommates are either extremely fond of cats or secretly extremely fond of cute things.

[dr_conscience]

Well, I'm sure they'd enjoy having another willing playmate.

Though, secretly, I think they're growing on him. I'm sure he'll never admit it - and that he'll keep pushing them out of his way with his cane.

The socialization is probably good for them.

[ D'awww. ] Someday you'll come home and they'll be on his lap.

I'm sure it would be. I guess we should make some plans for them.

Probably - and hopefully it won't be in the style of a Bond villain.

Poor thing, going to get picked on by his sisters.

Yeah, that could be a problem.

It's all right. I'll have a talk with them, make sure they go easy on him.
