[ Hello, City. Instead of more people discovering sand in things, this accidental broadcast seems to be showing two familiar ladies doing... something outside. Natasha is pressed up against Ariadne's back, one hand on the shorter woman's hip as she slides her back slightly, adjusting the way she's standing. ]

This gives us a better angle.

[ Natasha's other hand is on Ariadne's arm, and now she's shifting that, too. ]

Eyes forward.

[ There's a quiet noise of assent from Ariadne, and then Natasha shifts, tucking some hair behind Ariadne's ear. Lips close in, moving as the redhead says something. It's probably a wonderful sight for some of the City's residents...

...and then something shiny and sharp flies out of Ariadne's hand, embedding itself in one of the targets and making some sand trickle off the top upon impact. ]

I did it!

[ And that, City, is how to use throwing knives. ]

Not having the apocalyptic kind is definitely good. I mean, I doubt throwing knives are going to do anything if those weird statues come back, but if there are giant bugs or something...

[ Ew. Okay. No giant bugs. It's more likely that she'll be using them on people or projections anyway. ]

She's not. I think Tony would've been too scared to hire me if she was. Besides, I have a boyfriend. [ Who... also has red hair... ]

Ohmigosh, I've seen giant bugs and at first I was like 'how much grossness is that?' but then I realized they were good giant bugs, or... okay so maybe they were aliens who just looked like giant bugs. Either way, super creepy of the good and helpful kind! I'd be all question ask-y first before going 'ooo attack!'. But still, evil kinds of giant bugs, totally what I would use knives for... or a crossbow. Have you ever shot a crossbow? They're really cool!

[But she digresses from the most important topic here. Yes, that long ramble you just witnessed was simply a digression. Cause Dawn is not letting this go so easily. She still has the mental vision of the knife throwing lesson seared onto her brain, okay?]

But there was totally chemistry there, I saw it! [Of course she thought there was chemistry when she had been cursed to kiss Ariadne too. So maybe Ariadne just has chemistry with everyone and everything. Her sister is like that. Stand her next to a telephone pole and you're gonna end up rooting for them to be together!

And now she's got to get in the girl talk.] And who's your boyfriend? Tell me, tell me, I wanna know!

Giant alien-bugs? Was that at home or here? I've never shot a crossbow; they look cool, though. Have you? [ Now she wants to learn how. ]

I don't know about that. She's definitely not my girlfriend, though. We kissed during the mistletoe curse but so did you and I, and we're not dating.

[ Dawn is also not teaching her how to stand to use throwing knives, either. But oh boy, girl talk time. Ariadne isn't always great at this, at least not in public, but Dawn is... Dawn. Her enthusiasm for things is contagious. ]

You know those twins who did the fireworks for the gala?

That was at home during the umpteenth apocalypse... the most recent one. Luckily, no giant bug-aliens. Which... [She smirks.] ...if you smush those words together you get bugliens or aliugs. Kind of funny.

But I could show you how to use a crossbow! Buffy taught me how and I think it's my favorite cause it's all long range-y.

[She's gonna look skeptically at you for a moment, Ariadne. Just a moment because she's almost positive that she didn't make up the sexual tension in her brain.] Okay, I'm totally not gonna get all juvenile and wish my kiss was as awesome as her was, and instead get all squeal-y about the Weasley twins cause yes I know them and they are all kinds of adorkable.

How many apocalypses have you guys had? ...What's the the plural for apocalypse, anyway?

That would be awesome. [ GIRL BONDING. Over weapons. Yes.

Ariadne is just going to raise an eyebrow right back. She really doesn't know what Dawn is talking about, but okay. ] Maybe your kiss was more awesome. You don't know. But yeah, uh... the one missing an ear, George.

[ She feels so awkward talking about this. Probably because she's only just started openly talking about it. ]

Lots. All averted so far. Although I'm not so sure whether the last one was averted or not. I just know everything is weird now at home with no magic. Apocalypses, apocalypsi? Err... okay good question!

[She's just gonna soak up that girl talk. It's one of her favorite things and she doesn't find too many people around here who indulge her with it.] George! George and Ariadne. That's so much fun and he's so cute! Is he super sweet to you?

That sounds a lot more exciting than where I'm from.

[ Ariadne usually doesn't, but, well... she lives in a house with three men and her best friends are all boys. Once in a while, she needs to have a girly moment. ] He makes me laugh.

Oh it's like... all rinse and repeaty with the big bads trying to destroy the world where I'm from. Which, most people don't know there world destroyage going on, but that's why we... my sister does what she does. She keeps people safe.

[If she sounds very proud of her sister, it's because she is. But don't tell Buffy that cause Dawn tries to only sparingly let her know that she's awesome. Otherwise it could go right to that Slayer head of hers.

Also, she's always available for girly moments. She really likes Ariadne and doesn't mind gushing over the boys with her.] See, I think that's important. The making you laugh and smile. It's a good thing. So how long have you been with him? Is he a good kisser? Spill!

I guess it could be happening back home, then, and I just wouldn't know about it. That's a little weird to think about it. Your sister sounds pretty cool, though.

[ Ariadne's an only child, but she knows Buffy's around -- thanks to Cobb and his temper tantrums, at least. Right now she's just having a hard time keeping herself from resenting the woman she's never met, though it's not Buffy's fault that Cobb told her to get out of his life.

Ariadne really likes Dawn, too. It's hard not to like Dawn. ] Me too. How long? Well... I'm not sure what counts as "official"? He's definitely a good kisser, though.

Well if you ever need the 4-1-1 on a beastie just let me know. I'm good at the research thing and I already know a lot of stuff about demons and hellgods and all that supernatural-y stuff.

She is cool, but not as cool as me. I'm definitely the cooler one of the two of us. The only reason everyone knows her and not me is cause she's all world important-y and stuff... cause of the Slayer thing. But actually I'm cooler... and I have better hair and fashion sense.

[She may love her sister, but she's still the baby sister and can definitely live up to the nickname 'brat' which Faith calls her sometimes. Dawn has yet to really sit down with Cobb and interrogate get to know him. It's on her list of things to do though, and when it happens it will be epic!]

Okay so are the two of you like exclusive or are you just casual and seeing other people? Cause that could be the determining factor of official.

I should get you into engineering sometime. You could tell me if what we've got will stand up against angry, non-friendly bug-aliens.

[ She laughs. Ariadne has the 'brat' thing down too sometimes, especially with Eames lately. Somehow, against everyone's expectations, she and the forger have become close. That's probably part of why she and Cobb had such a spectacular falling-out. ]

Well, it started out pretty casual? [ Actually, it started out as just a sex thing, but... public feed. ] But now it's more exclusive. I mean, his mother was here over the weekend and was asking me questions.

[Dawn and Ariadne are going to be BFF's eventually. It's fate. Forget being fated to be a Slayer or some mystical key thing. Dawn's destiny is to be best friends with Ariadne. She accepts it graciously.

But now her eyes are going wide at the mention of Ariadne having to endure mama Weasley.]

Oh, I bet that was awkward! With his mom here. I would've been all stammer-y and yet even more ramble-y than normal... which is possible, believe me. Sad but true.

[ She's already fairly high up there on Ariadne's list without even really trying. Dawn's enthusiasm and rambling is a little overbearing at first, but Ariadne's nothing if not adaptable. It really is hard to dislike the other brunette. ]

A little, yeah. She was nice, though -- wanted to make sure he wasn't driving me crazy.
