Pausing is, of course, necessary, because two seconds later, the video flips off again. It takes a little while but eventually, text goes up to accompany the brief video.]

It won’t erase. Which is so incredibly unhelpful that I can only assume it’s purposeful. I can’t say I was expecting to end up with one of these in my pocket so suddenly, either.

Someone else has just appeared and stepped directly in the fountain, which is daft, really. It’s not hard to miss. Although I expect someone very clearly stepping in it just now proves that it is rather hard to miss, in fact, and I may have fountain immunity. I wasn’t aware of that, but there you are.

The only important thing I can think of to ask, while we’re both here, whoever you are that’s reading this, is what the conditions of here are? I appreciate knowing when it’s somewhere new.

Generally, when I'm summoned somewhere without warning, there are conditions to the place, or at least a reason. Am I meant to be doing something? Or is it just a sort of enforced immigration?

I was gonna say something about that but actually I don't know if that's better or not. going home and then coming back, I mean!

pretty much, yeah. and 2's true! the City gives money to mostly everybody under eighteen. never seen 1 and 3 happen, though.

Then I'm right. Two doesn't apply to me, and I wouldn't entirely discount three. Not with the sort of people I've seen here so far.

You can't have a zombie apocalypse without the right sorts of people to enact and perpetuate it.

Nearly. What kind do they have here?

the kind that comes around every couple days? they're way more like status effects, though, and you can't break them. and you only have to sacrifice stuff to the deities if you wanna trade for something from back home!

The deities seem awfully convenient. Rather bureaucratic, honestly. The curses sound as if they might be interesting, though.

yeah, I dunno if CONVENIENT's the right word for them. you'll see after a couple days, though!
