♣ 013 | [ Video | Action ]
In a moment, he saw it all. The car speeding down the road, the puddle that came out of nowhere, the little old lady (who bore a striking resemblance to Duchess Rainsworth. Perhaps it was the walker she used?) standing on the curb.
In a frantic moment of OMG WHAT DO I DO, he ran! He dove! He…
Found himself drenched from head to foot in dirty street water. With a small wipe of his face to remove stray droplets of water, he smiled at the stunned lady and kissed her cheek, blushing all the while. He's being so forward!Liam can't get much more celebratory then that. He's Victorian.
"I'm glad you're safe, ma'am."
And with a press of his fingers against his glasses to keep them from slipping, heskipped continued on down the road. Even if he was still drenched.
((ooc: cursed, obviously! He'll be everywhere in the City today hunting down a new job. Who wants a personal assistantto kiss them?))

action; yay you get to put up with me again
Also he will be carrying a stack of books. The stack is slightly shorter than his usual load of books, but only because he was recently injured and it is good not to strain oneself.
He is probably going about this the wrong way.
But then again, it's an old habit of his, and one that Elliot would question if he didn't continue, and he quite likes the escapism of reading, so it really is nice.
At least he can see over his stack of books well enough to stop before he bumps into Liam. We can only hope Liam is so skilled...and observant. ]
action; you make it sound like that's a travesty
right into Leo.
He does so hope those aren't library books... ]
action; but isn't it?
For a moment, as he turns to Liam, there's the traces of something resembling anger, frustration, on his face-- lips pressed into a thin line. But he knows that Liam was here with Elliot when he was not, and that is almost, almost enough.
Calmly, measured, and smiling: ]
You really should be more careful, Mister Liam.
Re: action; but isn't it?
I... I'll do my best. [ he sits up and cleans off his glasses, spatters of mud speckled all across them. it's amazing he still has a semi clean spot on his handkerchief. Oh, but... wait! ]
Do you need help with those books? [ he quickly shoves his glasses back on his face and scrambles to pick-up the one or two still within his reach. ]

action;
What was that for?
[ THAT'S RIGHT, RUFUS BARMA.
just kidding. also, elliot's referencing the kiss, and not the mad dive into the water puddle. ]
action;
[ 1 ] he can call on March Hare and pretend to be dead.
[ 2 ] he can submit to the will of Barma and die upon a sword.
[ 3 ] he can turn around and acknowledge Elliot and answer his question calmly and politely or...
[ 4 ] he can turn tail and run. ]
IT WAS NOTHING.
[ And off he runs! ]
action;
Hey!
[ there must be something wrong, because while Liam's always been fidgety - why, Elliot's never fully understand - but this is just downright strange, and he wants to get to the bottom of this. so, Elliot makes what is quite possibly the stupidest decision of his day and chases after Liam. ]
Wait!
action;
And possibly his marbles.
He has a very fine collection sitting in the inside pocket of his jacket. He had to have something there after Break disappeared and negated the need for his hard candy stash. ]
I'm sorry, Master Elliot. But I'm late! [ for a head exam. orz ]

The lady would say otherwise, I think.

Oh, that... [ he blushes ] Any gentleman would've done the same. [ he's not used to praise. What does one do with it? ]
