I'm curious about something.

People come and go, but there's no method to it, right? I feel like there should be rhyme or reason to it.

[He misses Tony and Thor already okay.]

The more I think about it, the more I'd like the Avengers to have their own police presence. We're not vigilantes and we need to be able to move within the police force. Justin Pendleton's in charge, there, but I would still want the Avengers to act on their own, without Fury here to oversee, I guess that duty would fall to the next highest ranking agent - Agent Coulson, that would be you, right?

I'd also like to propose that we bring in the Lady Sif into our conversations. She knows the most about Loki, she's smart and strong and I think that we could use her, if she's willing to be of aid.

[Steve Rogers is out and about town today, mostly running errands. Victory kisses don't mean anything unless they're performed by someone actually in World War II]

Are you sure you're not cursed?

[He nudges Bucky's foot under the table]

Why? [ Leaning forward with his chin resting in his hand. ] Do you want me to kiss you?

[punchedhitler]

[Steve looks shy for a moment, and looks away a little]

You know the answer to that.

[ Bucky can't help himself. It's a curse, even if he's not affected right now, it's an opportunity he won't let pass. So he's leaning up and over the table, pressing his mouth to Steve's in a sweet, slow kiss. ]

[punchedhitler]

[Steve moves slightly forward, responding to that kiss, sweet and soft at first and then a little more insistent. He loves this, he loves kissing Bucky like this, like this is his world.

When they move apart he's a little flushed. Someone slowclaps, and he blushes even more.]

[ He laughs, quiet and secretive, easing back into the chair and keeping his eyes fixed on Steve. He really is the luckiest guy in the world. ]

[He looks away a little, his face red, shy. He's not used to this, to the attention of it, even though he loves kissing Bucky.]

So are you going to stick by me today, Bucky?

Yeah, I gotta work tonight though. [ Smiling. ] Think you can stay out of trouble?

I'll probably go check on Bruce.

How is the guy?

Lonely, I think.

He should come over for dinner sometime. [ Because apparently he's less grumpy and hating people today? Who knew being a kid would reset his whole tolerance for humanity. ]

Clint too. And Agent Coulson.

You want to have people over?

[Wow.]

They're your team, right?

[ He should get to know them properly. ]

[He smiles just a little, pleased]

They are.

So invite 'em over.

[ Loki maybe shook him, but not in the way he'd wanted, because Bucky doesn't see this new team as a threat, just something he should understand better. ]

For Saturday?

Yes sir. [ Another sip of his coffee. ] But we'll order in, 'cause we don't wanna kill 'em.

[punchedhitler]

We'll order sandwiches.

[Steve looks victorious which in fact he is so he leans over and pushes the table aside a little to kiss Bucky on the mouth, dipping him just a little.]

[ He's startled, but something catches in his chest at the way Steve kisses him that he doesn't care.

Only when he comes up for air does he smile. ] Hey there, soldier.

[punchedhitler]

Curse.

[His breath is soft, his smile sort of pleasant as he leans back in his own chair.]

Uh huh.

[ Bucky smiles into his mug for a second, eyeing Steve up. ]

[punchedhitler]

[Steve smiles into his coffee.]
