[ The device clatters to the ground and gives an upshot of...a lamppost. And two sets of feet, though the angle it stops at settles on cuffed hands instead. Two sets of those too. ]
This's ridiculous. How...
That's what I'd like to know. I was sound asleep in bed a moment ago! [ Arthur tugged on the handcuffs, incredibly put out by the whole ordeal. He hadn't gotten nearly enough beauty rest for this. ]
[ A frustrated sigh. Those two sets of hands are one-to-the-other cuffed with the lamppost as the centerpiece. Jokes will not be appreciated. ]
This better be a one-day deal.
[ Arthur's head comes up at that. ] You mean I'm stuck with you a whole day? [ he groans and leans his head against the lamp post, his one and only friend. He really, really hated the City sometimes. ]
((ooc: BBC Merlin's Arthur is in blue and Inception Arthur is in standard issue blackbecause of his suits. Also, Haku is visiting a friend so replies will be coming later tonight! ))

[No video because of Nekkid Rain-ness.]

Rain! I don't suppose you could fetch me a shirt could you? And a pair of shoes. [ the pavement was starting to get uncomfortably warm. ]
Re: Voice
Oh... wait.
I have no clothes on. They won't stay on me at all.
It's a curse.
I... could still come, but I don't think people would be very happy.
Voice
[ Huh? ]
Are you sure you're not dreaming again? [ Maybe Arthur was dreaming. That would be the single best thing he's heard since coming to the City. He'd even hug Merlin for it. ]

[ Which on second thought he supposes isn't much better...fuu ]
Re: Voice
[Not you, Arthur, sorry. Other Arthur.]

Anyway I wouldn't bother with the shirt. Someone's bringing a sheet which's probably the best he'll get. Unless he can magically get his shirt on like this.

Feeling's mutual. [ Who's stuck with who now? Really. He scowls.
Wait until he realizes this is the same lamppost Arthur kissed. That'll brighten up his day at least....
Which will be nice mixed in with the inevitable sunburn once daylight hits. Among other things. At least he has pajamas. Small blessings. ]

Why am I stuck with you anyway? [ Even though he's asked it three times already, he needs the reminder. ]
no subject
Gonna let you figure it out on your own this time.
[ Tone implies: since my last three answers weren't apparently acceptable 8| as he's asking again... ]

Where's Merlin when you need him... [ he look around, in vain, at the street in front of them. They've already been the recipient of more then one strange look as people began to head for work. How humiliating. ]

He doesn't respond until after he's laughed for a while, because he intends to do this with a straight face for as long as he can.]
The lamppost again, Arthur? Really?
Apparently.
[ /ANSWERS FOR HIM....they're both named Arthur so he feels it's even less out of bounds than normal ]
[Squinting.]
Do I know you?
Not personally. Same name though.
Us [ he nods towards the other Arthur ] I mean.

Touchy.
[And then, so very chipper:]
On my way, sire!
Just... wait a moment! I need my boots, a shirt -- anything you think can fit over these manacles, a cloak, and whatever else might be useful. It doesn't look as though I'll be going anywhere today. [ he should probably call work and let them know too but... how humiliating. ]

Oh. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
BACK. TRACK.]
Hello there, my fine fellows. That's a nice pole you've got.
no subject
Ahem. But no really. Arthur's face does a hyper-condensed obstacle course of really??? and oh I think he's serious and wait really and wait I've talked to you before hm and -_-. ]
It kidnapped us. I'm pressing charges.
[ Deadpan deadpan flat flat but somehow the idea amuses him; maybe it's because here maybe such a thing would be possible. Not that he'd actually put in the effort...
Absently he gives them an experimental tug - something he'll be doing all day probably, at the expense of both Arthurs' wrists but you know. ]
no subject
I'm trying to think of a plausible way for the pole to uproot itself and chase you both down, but I must admit I'm not having a lot of luck.
no subject
Stick around long enough. You'll witness even weirder.
[ Not to say stick around right now but in general. It's not really a lie, that part, though the implication about the lamppost certainly is. ]
