He is, however, dealing with the weather as one might expect; by stopping on his way back from his shift and renting something to watch on an evening in. That's, of course, why he's in one of the City's such establishments with a DVD of something called Besos de Traición - yeah, that's totally a telenovella. He'd ask you not to tell, but he has no idea that his arrival at the counter with it is being broadcast to the City.]

Just guessing, but I don't think the plot'll be too hard to follow. Hidden affairs, fake deaths, sudden twins, cat fights...

Sometimes it's a little hard to tell who's related to who in what way. Really, I'm better with French, but they just don't do drama the same.

[Abed is wandering around the video store, trying to find a copy of Diehard. He can't imagine how a video store could possibly exist without a copy, but he can't find it.

So he heads up to the counter, ignoring the man who got there first.]

I don't see a copy of Diehard.

[How... irritatingly mundane, being interrupted and ignored. Wilson lets out a quiet breath and glances at the rude newcomer.

Of course, he's not going to start a confrontation over something so petty.]

They might not have it. Could be awkward, given that John McClane was here for a while.

[Wilson, you just blew Abed's mine. He gives Wilson a horrified look, which he then slowly turns to the clerk.]

Is that true? Do you not have Diehard? How can you not have a copy of Diehard?

[His horrified look is met without much reaction, just a perfectly even glance back. Very matter-of-fact, because no he is not shitting you.]

People don't like it when they find out they're fictional, typically.

And while I can certainly appreciate the urgency of your situation here [by which he means he can't, of course], do you mind terribly putting your interrogation on hold so I can finish what I was doing?

[The clerk just shrugs, clearly unconcerned with Abed's dilemma.

Something in him breaks, and he begins to emit a loud, high-pitched keening sound.]

[Okay, that hurts. His initial response is to plug his ears, but concern wins out because WHAT. IS. THAT.]

Hey-- are you... are you all right?

[He's left his dvd for the clerk to get to (when he's done staring too, of course) as he watches Abed - not moving too close, but frowning, brow furrowed, as he watches him and worries.]

They might? It's not impossible, and this isn't the only video store in the City, either. Maybe it was mis-shelved, or someone has it out.
