[ So maybe he's a little under dressed for the snow, but c'mon who stops to actually find things like a jacket or a scarf or anything like that. Stiles is just fine in his inside out t-shirt, his hoodie, snow coating his sneakers like they're trying to go from dirty-red to white. So what if he could potentially get hypothermia? His entire wardrobe's back home. But he's paying the cold like zero attention, focusing well on the task at hand.

The snowman.

Or snow-wolf. The figure Stiles is working on is big, more square than the usual rounded snow-people, little snow ears attached to its head. It's scowling face is perfection, text message art that he's seriously pleased with. (>8|) It maybe looks a little constipated, but that's the default for half the ones he knows anyway so he's on the right track. He's holding up his device in one hand, a stick in the other as he draws a cross over the thing's chest, right where it's heart should be.

(Because apart from Scott the friendly werewolf, the rest of them have serious issues.)

Huffing, his breath billowing off screen like he's breathing fire. ]

You know what, I'm impressed with my own handiwork. [ Prodding the snowman again. He's so brave when there's nobody here to bite him. Zooming in to it's scowly mouth. ] Now don't be afraid. The were-snow is totally a big softy snow-puppy. It's chill is worse than its bite.

[ And here he is, ten minutes later, loitering outside with his hands shoved in the pockets. ]

[She comes around the corner, wearing one of those puffy bomber jackets with the fur trimmed hood. On seeing him, she quickens her pace.]

Hey! You didn't have to wait outside in the cold! Unless you want to be a popsicle.

Stilinksi flavoured. [ He grins though, opening the door immediately because yeah, it's cold as balls out here. ] It's okay, I didn't want you thinking I ran away or got lost in a snow-drift so I stayed out here. No hypothermia yet.

Yet.

[She heads inside, thinking he's a few bricks shy of a load for just not waiting inside for her.]

I wonder if they brought out the winter flavors for this winter weather.

Hey, like gingerbread. I take it there aren't any Starbuckses around here.

It's all locally-owned coffee shops, I think.

[She heads up towards the counter, in line behind a couple others.]

So, what do you do with your time when you aren't constructing snow dogs? Are you in high school back home?

Bummer.

Well, we don't have one in Beacon Hills either, but sometimes we drive out to the nearest one. Twenty minutes and you get the coolest fraps.

[ Nodding. ] Yeah. Don't know what I'm gonna do here though.

There's a university library, if you're into reading. I've been there a couple times and it's really nice. Of course, I think the books are cursed so that if you're looking for something specific, you'll never find it. I just browse.

Right, so aimless reading. I can totally do that. [ Lining up at the coffee counter. ]

I was thinking about a job, actually.

I'm sure that won't be too hard to find. People are always looking for employees.

I don't think I have many marketable skills.

You could probably work a register someplace. Or, hey, why don't you tell me your interests and I'll see if any of that might be considered a job skill.

Uh. [ Running with wolves? ] Solving mysteries. But it's not like I can get a job doing that.

Mmm, probably not, unless there's a private eye running around looking for an apprentice.

[She gets up to the counter and orders a peppermint latte.]

What about certain subjects? What do you get the highest grades in?

Um. Well, it depends. I kind of don't do well in school. But that doesn't mean I'm dumb. [ It just means he finds it difficult to concentrate. ]

I'll figure something out.

I'll bet you will.

[She moves over towards the waiting place for her latte.]

[ Collecting his americano. ]

What do you do around here?

[And with her latte in hand (plus a few extra sugars and a coffee stirrer), she goes to find them a free table.]

Ah, good question. I... haven't really found my place yet. Underage people get an apartment, rent-free, so I haven't been rushing to get a job.

Yeah, that's pretty cool, isn't it? I guess I just want to get one so I can afford other stuff.

[She picks a spot and sits, pouring the extra sugar into her cup.]

Yeah. I'm not really used to that. I mean... what do you know about magic?

Um. That it's complicated and sometimes does not work in the way you expect?

[She smiles.]

That's definitely a part of it.

[She glances down at the empty sugar packets and points them out to him.]

But when you have magic, you really don't want for anything.

[And now the sugar packets have transformed into the City's currency.]

Oh holy god. [ Giving a little flail of excitement and maybe nervousness. ]
