Three Moons ℂ Video/Action

[The camera shows Lena fanning her face out in the sun. There's perspiration on her forehead and she's squinting, but then she turns the camera away to show the line in front of her. When she tilts it back to show her face again, she's wearing sunglasses, though there was no rustling sound as she got them out. And that was because she didn't, but some non-magical people might have been freaked out seeing sunglasses conjured out of thin air. She had turned in to face the building so the others in line wouldn't catch her doing it.]

This line is ridiculous, and it's like a hundred degrees out here. It better be worth it once I get inside.

[A trickle of sweat runs down from her temple and down her cheek. She quickly flicks it away, looking irritated.]

Anybody else in this line somewhere? How close are you to the front doors? And what are you most looking forward to inside?

There's a girl and boy coming around selling drinks. Maybe they'll make it up your way?

I haven't seen either of them, but I'll keep an eye out! Of all the days to pick a convention...

Yeah, I know. It's getting unbearable.

[She looks up at the bright, blue sky, thinking about fixing that.]

[ooc: So Lena can control the weather. Would it be all right if she made some clouds roll in and a breeze appear to cool those in line down?]

Ugh, I know. Seriously, worst day to have a convention ever.

((I would be more than okay with that! (: ))

[Well that settles it, then. Lena looks up at the sky, clouds drifting in rather quickly. A cool breeze kicks up and she twists her hair up off her neck.]

That's better.

[Andy looks up at the sky in awe. He hasn't seen something like this since Thunderbird had rolled into town a couple of years ago, and he is suitably impressed.

He returns his attention back to the screen, grinning widely.]

Did you just do that? That's awesome! I didn't realize other people here had powers, too, but I guess it would make sense, yeah? So cool!

[She smiles and shrugs, lifting her shades to show off one green eye and one gold one. Then she winks.]

You too, huh? This place is way more open about it than at home.

Oh -- oh, no! Not me! Just normal Andy! Which, by the way, hi. I'm Andy. Nice to meet you.

[The powers thing is a lie, but secret identities and all that.]

Kinda of a lot of people can do stuff back where I'm from, the superheroes and villains and all of them. They're all pretty cool.

Oh. Well I'm Lena. Nice to meet you too.

[She shifts to lean against the building behind her.]

Even the villains are cool? They're not where I come from, and we don't have superheroes.

Let me rephrase that. Their powers are cool, but they're jerks.

Villains and no heroes? Well that sucks.

That makes more sense.

Yeah, it does. I mean, certain people that stand up to them are definitely heroic, but it's not like comic book villains and heroes here. Just jerks who try to kill people.

That... That really sucks, I'm sorry. At least there are people that try and that's better than nothing, right?

Yeah, definitely better than nothing. People would be dead, if it wasn't for some people trying.

Yeah...

But your power! I mean, can you do stuff with it other than the weather thing? Or is it just weather related?

[Because he hates when people look upset and figures now would be a good time to change the subject.]

I can do lots of things.

[She sounds more awkward about it than proud.]

I don't know everything I can do because there's so much... Sometimes I wake up in the morning and something happens that I didn't mean to happen. So it's like gaining a new ability overnight.

Well that's really weird. Kind of like a surprise grab bag of powers, right? At least you'll always be on your toes..?

That's one way to put it. It's more like getting dropped in the middle of the ocean and trying to swim for shore.

Oh... Does it happen here too? If it does, I can always help... Dunno how, but I'd figure something out.

Since coming here? I haven't noticed anything new. Maybe it's stopped, the way time stops back home while you're here.

[She looks grateful, lips curling up into a soft smile.]

Thanks, but I don't think there's anything you can do. I'm used to it, so I keep swimming for shore.
