024 - Something Bloody, Something Blue - Video/Action

[ A wedding, even in the City, isn't odd news. ]

[ Unless it's a union between a dangerous ex-zombie and a psychotic vampire. That's right. Carla Morir  and Karl Fei-Ong. Tying the knot. ]

[ Barring that fact, though, the spread is surprisingly elegant. The Phantomhive garden has been decorated in eyecatching swathes of red-and-black. Beneath the dark canopies and glowing lanterns, a long black table arrayed with smoked-salmon bites, black caviar, truffle-stuffed birds, extravagant desserts and brightly-colored treats culminates in a monstrous wedding-cake. ]

[ Glasses of chilled champagne and red wine are ready. ( Along with pretty non-bottled drinks - straight from the fount - for those of the vampiric persuasion). Guests (curious, or coerced? ) have turned up in abundance. A string orchestra plays lively music amid chatter and tinkling cutlery. ]

[ The wedding ceremony has just ended. Toasts have been made. Pictures taken. The first dance danced. And, as with every big party, expect a splendid after-party. ]

[ Just ignore creepy rumors about an orgy and bloodbath at the wedding night. It can't possibly be true. ]

[ Can it? ]


[OOC: Obviously not a real wedding, guys. Both bride and groom are so very cursed. Post is open for video/text/action! Threadjacking, wedding crashing and shenanigans are so mightily encouraged. Just don't mess with the bride's gown. Or Karl will personally hunt you down and kill you. ]

I do want her to like me.

[Which is a rather irritating notion to her, wanting a woman to like her because that woman was important to Karl. Stupid attachments.]

[ He offers a wry yet wistful smile. ]

What's not to like about you?

[ A perfect predator in a human shell. All the scars and sharp edges just add to her charm, in his opinion. ]

[And Carla couldn't control that. She does vastly prefer to be in control, but if there's anyone she's going to trust with that uncertainty it may as well be Karl.]

[ In this City, none of them are in control. But that's nothing new to Karl. He had no control - outside, inside - in his own world. ]

As long as no one is a threat to her. Or to her children.

[ He's never pretended to understand how Diva's mind works. But he knows enough of her nature to recognize that she always protects her own. ]

[ Even, on occasion, her Chevaliers. ]

[The babies. She has such odd feelings about the babies.]

Did Dr. Chase agree to see her?

[ So does he. His only experience with children is eating them. But these babies are different. Family. ]

He did. He dropped by to give her a check-up.

[ A pause. ]

He says the birth will have to happen in the hospital, though.

[ Such a daunting idea. Not Diva in a hospital - when it comes to her babies, she displays an uncanny restraint - but just the idea of a birth. ]

[ Their family has been tangled in death for so long. ]

[She is probably just as fascinated by the inhuman physiology as Robert is, and she wants to see him work.]

[ Everyone's fascinated by it. ]

I don't see why not.

Although Chase may try to shoo you away.

Either way, it ought to be interesting.

[ He's so looking forward to meeting his little sibling-children. ]
