[Oh, Andy, you poor baby. This is not your day.

Andy limps down the street of the square, wheeling a rather beaten up and broken bicycle with him (he doesn't look much better, bike helmet hanging on only by the chinstrap).

All he had wanted to do was stop a bank heist, but instead, he had peddled head first into a wall and ended up... wherever here is.

With a sigh of defeat, he plops himself down onto a curb, bike falling next to him. Maybe he's hallucinating from the concussion. Maybe he's in a coma and this is all a dream.

Yeah. This is totally a dream.

He mutters to himself:] Aha, yeah, brain. This is a good one. I can wake up now, okay?

Yeah. Went so far as going through a wall, or trying to. Didn't really work either.

So, uh. I'm Andy. Nice to meet you, I guess.

[ looking him up and down—well, suddenly the damage's got context. ]

Seriously, did you charge at the wall or what?

Uhhh... Well, I was biking to -- biking to the bank and then kinda didn't pay attention a little and found a wall. Then I came to here.

And the I may or may not have tried it again to go home. Except more slowly and with less pain.

Thaaaaat's a hell of a way to come in. Your head feel okay?

My brain isn't oozing out of my ears and the ringing's stopped, so I think it's okay.

... heh. Sounds like a good standard. Though you seem pretty calm about everything...

Well... I'm kinda used to weird stuff, but not on this level. But, honestly, I think the shock hasn't worn off yet.

...Some guy told me he's been here a year and a half. A year. And a half.

Pretty sure it's not the kinda thing people're supposed to used to! And yeah, some guys stick around for a while... you know you go back to the same point, right?

They didn't go into great detail, just that there are barriers.

Nnnnot exactly impossible? Nobody's gotten stuck here forever—but yeah, there's a giant barrier around the whole City. And something's weird about the space outside anyway.

Alright. The space outside is a new one. What's out there?

It looks like seas and islands, but I'm pretty sure there's some kinda feedback loop going. Nothing that leads to other dimensions, anyway.

Well that blows. Still worth checking out later, I guess.

At least... is it a nice view? [Because if you're going to be trapped somewhere, that's important, right?]

[In theory, the beach is great. Unless he gets sand in his trunks. Or his portable game station runs out of batteries or, heaven forbid it falls into the water through some devastating twist of fate.

Well, yeah, for the most part. They're kind of common where I'm from. I mean, my family goes to New York on trips all the time.
