[ a strange text appears across Arthur's screen, scrolling with interminable slowness through the words. ]

The Royal Prince Arthur Pendragon of Camelot wishes the following to be known.




He is lonely.

[ and then the feed mysteriously clicks off only to be replaced with a vision of Arthur taping photocopied posters of the same message to a certain lamp post, unaware of the shaky recording as his phone starts to work it's way out of his upper pocket.

Perhaps the phone felt sorry for the lamp post, under appreciated that it is, perhaps it's the lamppost feeling sorry for Arthur. Either way, Arthur certainly had not planned to get caught quite like this! ]

[ he doesn't know how to handle this anymore. ] Well, I won't protest if you do. [ If she was Merlin, he'd insist on sugar and creme, as it is, he'll simply take it like a man and keep his mouth shut, but, as it is...

He looks around and then spots a bench (a bus stop to be exact). ] I'll just finish putting these up until you get here then? [ and hopefully he'll soon be taking a rest on said bench when she does. ]

[Lucky for him, she's stopping by cafe Juliet and he's getting his coffee the way she takes hers: mocha with whipped cream and an extra shot.

She arrives a few minutes later, coffees in hand, smile still on her face. She waves a bit with one cup as she approaches.]

Here you go. Hope you like it sweet, 'cause that's how the cafe makes it best.

He nods and comes to his feet, bowing slightly before he takes the cup. ] Ah, yes. Thank-you. I'm afraid I didn't catch your name earlier. I am Arthur Pendragon.

[ After a second, he takes a look underneath the cap, poking at the whip cream with a finger before tasting it, a look of surprise passing over his face. ]

It's sweet. [ he looks again. ] What exactly is this?

[mightbeconcussed]

[Big smile. She approves that he approves of her coffee choice.]

In particular, that is called whipped cream. It is also known as yummylicious. The whole drink is a mocha, which also goes by the name 'mana from God'. Seriously? Did you really think some bread kept Moses and all his little minions going for 40 years in Death Valley? I don't think so.

[pratful]

[ he's still looking at it every which way he can before taking a sip ] You have something against bread? [ he's doesn't really understand how "whip cream" and "mocha" can keep a man going, but he's willing to listen. This was certainly tasty enough. ]

[mightbeconcussed]

Well, it's loaded with carbs but not really? I just think this is way better.

[Arthur, you should never believe anything Lucy says. She just makes things up.]

[pratful]

And what's wrong with carbs? [ he takes another sip of that coffee, letting it roll across his tongue. He has no reasons to doubt her, however. So believe her he shall! ]

[mightbeconcussed]

Occasionally, nothing but every day full of carbs, they'll go straight to your butt. No one wants a carb-y butt.

[Oh she likes that very much.]

[pratful]

I'll have to take your word for it, I'm afraid. I'm not at all sure what these... carb things are.

You know, bread and rice and cake [Cake...is not exactly a carb but Lucy isn't exactly accurate either.]

[pratful]

So why didn't you just say that? [ you're a strange creature Miss Lucy. A strange creature indeed. ]

[mightbeconcussed]

because carbs is a lot shorter and quicker. [duh. Strange is being kind]

[pratful]

[ he sighs and rubs at his eyes ] At least use language I can understand. [ it's all brand new to him you know. He doesn't understand half of what goes on here as it is! ]

[mightbeconcussed]

[She scrunches up her nose.] Sorry. I didn't mean to lose you so completely.

[pratful]

[ he shakes his head ] It's my own fault. I've been neglecting my studies. [ and studies they are too. After that woeful lesson with Rhoedy on technology, Arthur had to admit he knew absolutely nothing about this world.

It sucks. ]
