[ When the feed clicks on, there's only Ianto in the town center. He looks like he's just been running for his life - which technically, he had only moments ago. His face is bleeding and dingy as he searches his surroundings. While the scenery is currently different, and he's not being shot at, he's not taking a chance. Finally after a minute of fumbling, he speaks. The man's voice has a deep Welsh lit to it, and there is definitely a sense of confusion hidden somewhere in it.]

I - hello?

[ ... quietly, more of an observation to himself: ] This doesn't look like Cardiff anymore.

Right. I'm either very concussed - or this is the work of the Rift. I honestly think in this case I'd prefer the former. But with current luck standing the way it is...

[Sigh. He's still wary and alert, looking around for anything, but nothing is familiar here. No stinking pile of rubble where the Hub had been. Just an unfamiliar city.]

I'm gathering this is a phone of some sort, and someone is out there who can hear this - so I'd appreciate someone telling me where I am.

Well the good thing about pocket dimensions and specifically The City, is that when it sends you home, it sends you exactly where it pulled you from. So you can do the whole unfinished business thing if you really want to. Personally, I like the lack of apocalypses here. It's like a nice little vacay from the threat of imminent death.

So I would go right back as if I were never brought here?

No imminent death around every corner. That's already a step up from back home.

Yep! Exactly. Only you should probably know that there are some curses that we all get plagued with every now and then. Most of them just seem to be about social experiments with us all. Oh, and that ticking, it gets louder when you don't get all social with the populace, another experiment, I think.

What do you mean by curses? Actual curses or is that a code for something?

Actual curses in the form of making people do things they wouldn't normally do. Or sometimes people are turned into animals or child versions of themselves or opposite genders or... you get the point. It's seriously like one huge social experiment to see how people act in certain situations. Totally weird... but not too bad. I've seen worse.

You're speechless, I get it. This place is speechless inducing. And confusion inducing on top of the speechless. I mean what do you say when you realize you've been sucked into a pocket dimension with a side of curses? Weird, much? But anyway, I'm Dawn.

Still a bit confused, yeah. Although I'm not exactly a stranger to things that aren't considered normal, and will probably get used to it all fairly quickly.
