No, she really, really wouldn't. She might even watch it sleeping.]

Because the cat is very comfortable laying on the cool tile while the sun keeps it nice and warm... Purr purr. ]

[C-cuuute... She just really can't hold back from reaching out to pet it.]

[ It doesn't stir immediately! Its fur is soft and sleek and very clean for an alley cat. ]

[She wonders if it's a pet that wandered in here--but that's not too important. She just wants to gently stroke its back, a soft expression on her face. Cats...♥]

[ And the cat purrs happily even as it stretches out and yawns on the counter. And then back to its original cat loaf position to go back to sleep. ]

[Oh, cute lazy cat. Rita takes that as an invitation to keep petting, quietly murmuring-]

Hey there, cat.

[ The cat doesn't show any signs of recognising that it was spoken too, still happily purring and napping. ]

[...Rita's enough of a tease to see if she can disturb it, and now she wants to see just how heavily it's napping. Maybe she'll start by tickling the tips of its ears...]

[ Rude, Rita! The cat's ears start twitching, and it moves its paws up to rub them. ]

[Cuuuuute~ She stops to let it rub its ears, watching with a little grin.]

[ It makes a little cat huff and turns around so its tail-end is facing Rita. Now you can't reach its ears! ]

[A tail's just as good! She pets the cat again, this time running her hand along its tail, too--and maybe giving it a gentle tug.]

[ But its tail is so sensitive! It twitches around when she touches it. ]

[Perfect! Just to be a tease, Rita holds onto the tail so it can't twitch around all that much.]

[dreaminday]

[ Aaaaah why are you holding my tail, weirdo?! The cat squirms its tail away and runs off to find another place to nap.

That place happens to be the top of Rita's refrigerator. ]

Huh-

[H-hey, no fair! She can't reach up there!

...Well, this just means she'll have to find a cat toy. It only takes her a couple minutes to find a stick with some feathers on it, which she reaches up to poke over the top of the fridge.]

The cat's eyes grow wide as it watches the feathers dance around the top of the fridge, over its front paws. It's prey, but it's mocking the cat by boldly stepping over its toes!

A few seconds pass as the cat bides it's time before pouncing on the feathers. ]

[Since Rita can't see the cat, she wonders if it's noticing the toy--until it pounces! And then she tries to tug them out from under its paws.]

[ OH NO THEY DON'T. The cat bares its teeth, ready to tear it into submission. You will not get away, feather things...! ]

[Rita can't see those teeth, so she tugs the stick back-!]
