( A bright, blinding light fills the sky. After a moment, the outline of three big wings can be seen against the horizon before the owner of said wings...falls. She hits the ground, leaving an obvious dent in the pavement. )

Returned...? ( Her voice is remarkably unfazed. ) Setsuna...is dead? ( That must be the case. Otherwise, why would she be...here? ) The cycle has been broken. I am myself again.

He must have succeeded. ( She sits up and looks at the sky, her expression conflicted. ) I can't recall what became of him or what became of Heaven. Even Rosiel's fate is unknown to me.

( Brushing off the rubble, she stands up and extends her wings to their full extent. )

Earth, I am the Organic Angel Alexiel and I require information. Tell me everything you know about Heaven's current predicament. Tell me of the war and what you have seen.

( Her gaze falls on the recording device and she picks it up, blowing the dust off of the screen. )

Do not fear me. I have no desire to harm you. But I must know. ( She closes her eyes tightly, fighting back a grimace. ) Please.

[ Her disquiet at all he knows isn't surprising. Kira hates it too. ]

Freely. From smiling rosy lips. [ He attacked Setsuna while the boy was drunk at Belial's party. Setsuna doesn't remember the gory details. But Kira does. ]

But it's not the sort of talk I'd expect from an angel.

[ More a devil, really. But he's learnt that most scripture is skewed in Setsuna's world. Or maybe it's the normal world it's skewed in? ]

( She has nothing to hide, but having such intimate details revealed to a stranger doesn't set well. )

It seems he hasn't lost his propensity for attracting interesting companions. ( She will leave it at that for now. )

As his once beloved daughter, I have different reasons from most. ( And her reasons are complicated. ) I find demons more palatable than most angels.

He's a magnet for - interesting companions.

[ And trouble. ]

Do you? [ An angel who prefers demons? Maybe this is where Setsuna gets it from? ] Well. They're admittedly not as quick to judge or damn.

( That's putting it lightly. Alexiel tilts her head, looking amused. )

Precisely. They are up-front about their wants. Heaven has become a cesspool of lies and manipulation. While god exists, it won't improve.

[ A half-frown. This is something new. But not unfamiliar. ]

That doesn't make Heaven terribly different from Earth.

Certainly no reason for it - or God- to be exalted.

So you noticed? ( The great irony of it all. ) Everyone should be given equal control of their lives and their happiness.

I don't imagine you've met with little opposition.

[ Kira and Setsuna gave him curious tidbits of info. ]

He decreed that my punishment be chosen and exacted by Uriel. ( Therefore Uriel is the one who chose that particular cycle of tragedy. ) I agreed to the punishment and died numerous times in numerous ways.

Setsuna is my first reincarnation to possess the will-power to do what I have desired to do since the beginning.

Uriel? [ Another angel? ] A harsh existence.

[ It's partly why Karl is so fixated on him. Unfortunately, Karl's fixations always spring from a violent fount. ]

He followed orders, but he didn't enjoy it. ( Thus why she has already forgiven him. )

Setsuna possesses the qualities to triumph. Once I awoke inside of him, I lended him my strength in order to traverse Hell and rise to Heaven.

I suppose that's why he's called the 'Messiah'.

[ Even if Setsuna hates to be referred to as such. ]

...He did tell me he went to Hell. And who are your enemies up in Heaven, other than God? Rosiel?

That term carries a heavy burden with it. ( Especially when one is, more or less, exacting revenge. )

Rosiel is not my enemy. ( He might be Setsuna's, but Alexiel is blinded by love. )

I gathered as much.

I made him a promise. In his current state, he does not want to live.

[ Wryly. ]

As he is, his mind and body are beginning to deteriorate. ( More like rot, but she's being kind. ) He knew this day would come.

Belial. ( She nods faintly. ) Ne has followed...Kira... ( It's strange to refer to the vessel, but if Lucifer wants his secrecy, who is she to reveal his identity? ) ...for centuries.

So her name is Belial.

[ The same name Rapheal once mentioned - with such trepidation - over the Network. He never explained why. ]

She carries out his - orders, I assume.

[ Similar to what Karl does for his Queen. ]

[ Not peaceful. The City is never that. ]

Yes. ( Willingly. Alexiel is aware of Belial's fondness for Lucifer. ) Ne does so because ne wishes to.

( There is no forced loyalty - something else she admires about Lucifer. )

[ The lines of enmity and camaraderie are rather - blurred - between them and Karl. A crooked smile. ]

( Releasing a sigh, she shifts the camera so he can see her wings. )

I am one of the highest angels in Heaven. Even now. Like my twin, I possess enough power to wage war on Heaven.

[ So different from Setsuna. The boy is all chatter and smiles. Too open to mask any emotion. ]

The City prefers to bestow 'curses' of a different sort.

[ He's seen Setsuna's wings up close. Touched them. He eyes hers with a fair amount of interest. The highest angel in Heaven... ]

...But not enough power to escape this City?
