[Ever since that unfortunate curse from last week, Raymond has been doing his best to avoid the network completely; he doesn't know if he can put up with any further ridicule. He would be doing his best to avoid people in general, as well, but after the worsened ticking from this past week, he's put himself in the habit of staying out among the crowd as much as he possibly can.

Just in time for the already large crowds to swell this weekend, it seems.

He looks out from his spot near the fountain with a heavy sigh. With any luck no one will notice him, but he hasn't counted on luck in quite some time.]

[Spotting a Timekeeper in a crowd would usually be a good reason to steer well away, but Fortis is well aware of his current predicament - in that he has no clue where the hell he is, a lot of the people around him don't have clocks, and Timekeeper Raymond is the only familiar face he can spot.

Still, his manner's just as cocky as usual as he saunters up.]

Well, well. Always a Timekeeper around when you need one, eh?

[Of course Raymond is surprised when he spots the familiar face, but it quickly passes; with the strange circumstances of this weekend in particular, it was probably only a matter of time before someone else with a clock showed up.

No, he needs to be on his guard, and he needs to do it without letting this thug onto it. His clock may be frozen here, but he doesn't know if that means his remaining time can't be taken.]

I'd think you'd be the last person to need a Timekeeper. But yes, that sounds about right.

[He makes a tsking noise, shaking his head.]

Shouldn't go downplaying the strength of the law like that. [Not that Fortis usually thought much of their strength, but then, they normally left him well alone.] Everything's got its place, and I have nothing but the greatest respect for order.

[As long as he was always where he was meant to be on the ladder, a vulture picking off the scraps and weaklings at the bottom of the pile.]

That may change once you figure out the order here isn't quite the same. [Not that there's any reason to let him on to the fact that the same applies to himself.]

Did you actually need me, or did you just feel like having a chat?

Don't have the time for me, Timekeeper? Cause I'm figuring out that this doesn't look like any time zone I've seen before. [Not that he's actually seen any other zones, but no one had to know that.] And, well, [He shifts his shoulders, straightening his jacket.] I don't seem to be losing anything for the trip here.

[Oh, now he knows you're trying to get rid of him. Raymond. If he wasn't curious before, he definitely is now.]
