[She doesn't stand right away, but collects her limbs and sits up]

Of course. After all, you're only here for a few days, you may as well get something you like.

[He sets the briefcase down, but keeps one hand on it, and doesn't open it.]

[Her eyes flicker to it for an instant, and she smiles very slightly, then stands and walks to a storage cabinet and removes the things he needs. It's immediate, the sign of a well-organized workspace]

[She presents them to him and sets it on the bench in front of him]

I assume you're not referring to genius and wit.

[He takes them, looks them over--always inspect the merchandise, that's just good operating procedure--and then opens his briefcase, removing a half-finished piece of technology a little larger than palm-sized.]
