[ Ariadne is sitting on the couch, an orange kitten curled up on her lap. Behind her is a man, who seems to be holding a cup of coffee and looking out the window. ]

Well. [ She pauses, rubbing the back of her neck. ] My father's here, but if anyone else would like to say hello or needs anything, I'm still available. He said he'll be going out for a walk in a little bit anyway.

[ As if on cue, the man pulls away from the window and heads for the kitchen. Ariadne watches him go, some of the tension gone when she looks back at the camera. ]

I'm Ariadne. Welcome to the City.

[Kind of... dreading the thought of some of it.]

[She snorts.]

I'm not exactly good at entertaining older people. Last real interaction I had with one was 'cause I'd pulled a fire extinguisher. Talked my way out of it with a lot of bull, but he was pretty mad.

[...largely because she wasn't anything like this tall as a human, she perceives everyone she's actually met here as being a lot younger than they are. None of you seem like full adults to her.]

I don't think anyone is good at entertaining my father. Well, unless they're talking about banking.

[ On the bright side, Ariadne is used to that thanks to looking about fifteen. ]

Why'd you pull it?

[pterosaur]

Ugh.

'Cause I like seeing how people react when routine gets interrupted. And I knew I could get out of it.

[She sounds a little wistful. Janine doesn't think she'd do it again, even if she could... She'd been more careless then.]

[boutant]

[ There's a slight laugh. ]

No wonder you're always so amused whenever there are curses.

[pterosaur]

They don't last long, might as well be. Well, plus, a lot of them are funny.

Some of them give bragging rights, too. I'm officially the only person I know who's ever kissed a pterosaur.

[pterosaur]

[Snort.]

It's not a big club, but it's pretty exclusive.

Like some sort of status symbol? My boss told me he was jealous.

[pterosaur]

He can just be jealous. I'm not giving him any sugar.

A club too exclusive for Tony Stark? Now I know I've got bragging rights.

Just don't squander them. There must've been half a dozen people.
