[ Coulson's sitting on a bench in the park. There's a black labrador puppy curled up by his feet, tongue lolling out.

To the very trained and familiar observer, it'll be clear that Coulson's still holding himself a little more stiffly than usual, but for the most part he looks relaxed and calm. Approachable, even. ]

I'm going to have to find you a name, won't I? [ The puppy whines happily.

Coulson shakes his head slowly. When he speaks again, his voice in the same deliberate and even tone, he seems to be addressing empty air: ] Barton, if you're going to follow me around, at least be more subtle about it.

You're doing alright in the City? Clint was annoyed when you found him out, but I told him it was no use.

[ It's true, though. Or so he'd like to think. ]

I'm fine. The magic users are quite helpful. [ A beat. ] He should be more subtle.
