[ the feed turns on to reveal Orca, who is awkwardly trying to position the camera properly. it looks like he's outside, judging from the view of the sky. ]

Ehhm, it's on, right?

[ he clears his throat, into his too-long sleeve, and gives a big, toothy smile. ]

Hi! I'm Vercingetorix! They call me Orca, though. [ pause. ahh, what else was he going to say ..

oh whatever, he's bad at this stuff anyway, so: cutting to the point. ]

I'm looking for people to be my friends! There's a lotta people in this city, there's gotta be someone who'll be my friend, right? [ hopeful smile!! ] And there's gotta be people who are strong, right~!

Oh, and Agito's not allowed, 'cuz I don't have enough patience yet. [ nod. ]

I thought orcas were whales, not dragons.

Metaphorical dragons! Orcas can eat sharks, you know. They're the strongest!

[Oh.] Well, when you put it like that...

Is that why you're looking for strong people? [And how old is this kid, anyway?]

[whirling]

Well, I wanna be friends with strong people! 'cuz it's more difficult for strong people to die, right?

Are you strong, mister?

[Jack isn't sure if he should find that worrying or not. Still, there's no reason not to answer the kid honestly, right?]

Yeah, I'm pretty strong.

[whirling]

Oh, really~? D'ya wanna be my friend, mister?

[wouldnotkindly]

[Something about the way this kid talks is setting off at least one alarm bell in Jack's head. But he's dealt with kids weirder than this — he thinks, at least — and he still can't help but have a soft spot for them anyway.]

Sure. I'm Jack.

[whirling]

Nice t'meetcha, Jack! [ biiiiig grin. yes, Jack should really be staying away from Orca. but it's too late now, you have offered yourself to be his friend and he is not going to let you go. ]

D'ya like games?

[wouldnotkindly]

Nice to meet you too, Orca. [He thinks. He's not so sure about that, actually.]

What kind of games?

[whirling]

[ he shrugs. ] I 'unno! Games that friends play?

[wouldnotkindly]

Well... I haven't played any of those, myself. But I wouldn't mind trying them.

[whirling]

Oh, you haven't played any friend games? [ headtilt. ] Uhmmm. Have you played tag before?

[wouldnotkindly]

I haven't had very many friends to play them with.

[And he nods.] Sure. [Which is a lie. He's fairly certain he hasn't, an implanted memory being all that informs him of the rules and experience of the game, but it's much simpler to say otherwise.]

[whirling]

I haven't, either! We're in the same boat, mister!

[ claps! ] I've played it, too! We can play that, if ya want!

[wouldnotkindly]

[Jack isn't so sure what he thinks about that.

Even so, he smiles instead of letting that uncertainty show.] Heh, all right.

[whirling]

Okay! Where should we meet, mister?

[wouldnotkindly]

How about the fountain? [This kid should know where that is, right?]

[whirling]

Sure!

[He can't help but give a little laugh at that. He does also give the kid directions, though.]
