It's like being in Tokyo all over again - only with less medical masks and fewer stilettos stabbing my feet. And strange men against my ass on the subway.

[Tony is waiting in line at the donut place, checking his inbox and scrolling through the Network as he does.]

I hate lines. Lines are for peons- Pepper, Dawn. Get me VIP standing with this donut place, would you? Throw around words like investment and stocks. You're both good at that.

Also-- if you could set me up an appointment with our friendly neighborhood gods. I'd like to take them out on a lovely candlelit date. Preferably within the week, but whatever. I've got egg creams. No rush.

[John looks them over and rewrites some of this faulty line]

In about two seconds someone from the kitchen is about to walk over and ask if you're my dad. Mostly because I've been sitting here for three hours and I haven't paid my bill yet.

[Stares]

I don't think I like where this is going.

[John closes his laptop and stands. The kitchen guy is coming.]

Thanks for paying for my breakfast, dad.

[John books it.]

[Tony raises his eyebrows as he sets the appropriate amount of coin on the table (though perhaps more than appropriate because Tony didn't like to count out menial change), standing as well.]

No problem, son. Now let's go home and we'll work out that super-hard math problem for you.

[John kind of smirks a little when he says that, half-stopping. He didn't actually expect it to work]

Don't worry, I got my sister to do all my math for me.

No, I insist. In fact, how about I ground your ass just for ignoring my helpful offer.

[Tony may be taking this little game and running off with it. He's intrigued in the coding, okay. And it's not often Tony runs into a kid who can code like that.]
