I don't know much about nonhuman physiology, but I haven't encountered anything but certain zombies that remain a threat after being beheaded.

There aren't usually zombies, but there've been instances. Curses. It helps to be prepared.

It rains food sometimes. It depends on your frame of mind; most curses are annoyances if you're not inclined to enjoy them.
