He's also not moving and there's blood in the corner of his mouth, on his shoulder.

His eyes focus for a moment, and he manages a look of mild surprise. ] Boss? — [ a wet cough ] Does any S.H.I.E.L.D agent —?

[ Another breath, laboured, and he stills again. ]



[ ooc; Say hi to Agent Coulson. Replies will come after Bones and Roxas are done with him, all right? All right.

Can't blame a man for not wanting to admit he used to sleep in Captain America pyjamas.

[A snort of actual laughter] The kind with feet?

Captain America is your favorite, I would guess. Iron Man is mine, intelligence and the application bests strength any day. When I am fabulously wealthy, perhaps I shall find a way to create my own and go to other worlds. Take over native populations and become an intergalactic emperor.

[debrief]

I confess to no such thing.

Well, now I feel old. Iron Man didn't even exist when I was your age.

Mm. [A pause, eyes narrowing.]

Is that a bad thing?

In my experience, yes. Tends to mean someone has something to hide.

How old are you?

Thirteen. Give or take.

[Just trying to get a read.]

You're cynical for a thirteen year old.

I am a card hustler in the streets of Paris, cynicism keeps one alive.

[debrief]

I can see how it would have that effect.

What is it you do, did you say? [Oh, he knows you didn't say. He just wants to see if it'll slip, see how good you are.]

I plan on graduating to international jewel thief once I'm a bit older.

[debrief]

I'm a goverment agent. [ He didn't say, no, but his first words in the City were to ask after SHIELD agents. While that itself is circumstantial evidence only, he doesn't see the harm in saying this much. His clearance level and his role within SHIELD, now. That is another story entirely. ]

That's quite ambitious.

[doeswhathewants]

I am told it is good to have goals in life.

[In his world, people know SHIELD exists, but like Interpol, no one is really sure what it does, and also, the player may have forgotten he mentioned that.] But what is it you do. A government agent could be anything from a - a case worker to a super spy. [Yeah, he's not petting you for a super spy.]

[debrief]

I'm a firm believer in achievable goals. Are you good enough to become an international jewel thief?

[ That would be valuable information to have. And he's hardly going to admit to anything. ] Mostly paperwork. [ Or so he says. ]

Better than good enough.

[He's just going to give you a faint smile.] So. That means you're important or you do something important. Someone who did something boring- a janitor or a secretary or the like- would have alluded to being something more important. The important ones always downplay their duties.

[debrief]

I wish. There really is an awful lot of paperwork.

[ He also shouldn't enjoy this conversation quite as much, but this kid's smart. It could be dangerous, but he finds that he still really enjoys it. ]

Not an outright denial, but at this point, you could merely be entertaining me. [A grin.]

[debrief]

Maybe. [ He lets some of his own amusement show. ]

You're okay. For an old guy. [The Serrure seal of approval.]
