[Rose is at Cinna's store trying to help corral some of the madness. She's been around long enough to know that visitor's weekend always means a bit of madness. She's going to stick as close to the windows and door as possible though just in case she sees someone she knows.]

[ Sarah Jane wanders into the shop curiously. My goodness, has clothing tastes changed since the 70s! ]

[Rose doesn't stop to consider that Sarah Jane looks younger than she remembers. In fact, she doesn't notice that at all. The fact that it's Sarah Jane over rides it all.]

Sarah Jane! [She's going to go in for a hug unless Sarah Jane stops her.]

[ Sarah will accept the hug, but pulls back in confusion after a moment. ] I'm sorry, have we met?

[Oh she does like people who hug even when confused. The pause is enough to make Rose realise how young Sarah Jane looks. It's her turn to look confused and a bit bashful.]

Sorry...I...I'm Rose. I guess we haven't met yet. I know the Doctor.

[Which is probably all she needs to say to explain timelines.]

You do? Have you seen him? I've lost him somewhere, and he's probably forgotten to look for me.

[ So usually she does the looking. Oh, also, right. She should say hello. ] And it's nice to meet you, Rose. Will be, I imagine.

There's three of 'em here right now. One's probably at City Solutions. Other might be movin' into a flat on the top floor of buildin' [something that is correct here] and m'not sure where the third one is.

[ Well, color her surprised. She hasn't met a group of Doctors before. ]

Can he do that? He never told me he could be in more than one place at a time.

[Rose hadn't either so you're not the only one Sarah Jane.]

Oh, good. [ She grins. ] Can you even imagine? I don't think my Doctors would get along at all.

[Oh so much excitement. She's like Rose] You've got more than one Doctor?

action; lol I forgot I said she was looking for 3 earlier, so pretend I meant 4 there.

[ Sarah likes Rose's enthusiasm. It's nice to talk to someone like this, it really is. ] Oh, yes! My first one had white hair and wore lace at his cuffs, and then the second has a long scarf and a ridiculous smile. He's the one I was looking for. You'd think someone like him wouldn't be hard to spot around here.

[Martha's wandering, but purposefully. She's been in tight spots before, and she knows what she's doing.

She just doesn't know where the hell she is or how she got here.]

[Rose does a double take out the window and then another one. She puts down the sweater she's folding and takes a step outside the store.]

Martha Jones?

[Rose can't leave her to wander around out there, right? The Doctor wouldn't want that.]

[Martha looks around quickly. If her smile looks a little strained, it's because there are a lot of feelings to process right now.]

Rose Tyler.

[She's not unhappy to see Rose. She doesn't dislike her. But it does bring up a lot of memories.]

We've got to stop meeting this way.

Yeah. Gets a bit...[And she trails off because she's not sure what it's a bit of. She gives Martha a bit of a strained smile. She feels the same way. She doesn't dislike Martha but more than the others, she feels a bit like Martha replaced her and she's jealous because she doesn't like sharing her Doctor.]

Anyone told you 'bout this place?

[Ironic, since it's Rose Martha feels she was never, in her life, going to replace.]

Well, I talked to him, you know, on the video phone. But you know how he is. All... timey-wimey. Says he's been here a year.

Right. [Yeah they've both got insecurity issues where the other is concerned.]

Yeah. He has. Or at least six months. That's how long I've been here and he was here when I arrived.

Wow. That's a long time, for him. [Martha tucks some hair behind her ear.] But you know... I guess if you're stuck somewhere, may as well be with people you know, yeah?

Yeah. Think sometimes he has a hard time of it.

[Which is why Rose spends 75% of her time coming up with new things for them to do around the City.]

[Martha nods.]

Then... I'm glad he has you. [That's the smile of the brave little soldier.]

[Rose recognises that smile and she's trying very hard not to be jealous and inferior feeling. She offers Martha back the same sort of smile.]

He--he needs people around.

[And she takes a deep breath because being a grown up is hard, okay?]

M'glad he--it couldn't've been easy bein'--m'glad he has you. Out...out there, I mean. Just...hug him. A lot. He needs it even if he won't admit it.

[Martha glances away for a moment.]

Yeah. I did my best. [And at some point, that hadn't been good enough--for her. She pushes the thought away, looks back.] For such a clever man, there's a lot he doesn't see.

[Really, it was the chase that got him interested in the clothing store, even if momentarily. He hadn't realised they were chasing a dog until a couple of seconds later, and by then he'd already stopped walking.]

Have you got a mobile I could borrow? Mine doesn't seem to have service here.

Sorry. Not goin' to. [She puts aside her folding and approaches him with a sympathetic smile.] You're in the City. Pocket sorta dimension. No communication outside here. I'm Rose.
