[There's a crash and a giant paw obscures the view for a moment before it's replaced by a black nose attached to puppy. With devilish doggie delight the device disappears into the puppy's maw as the puppy runs away.]

No! Don't - that's not a... toy thing!

[It's hard to tell from the inside of a dog's mouth, but it sounds like there's running involved.]

Not into the shop - the shoes... Someone catch that dog!

[Suddenly you can see again as the puppy barks, dropping the device and running off, Cinna's neat and immaculately cared for shoes run after it.]

[ooc: Open to anything and everything, even action of you feel like helping Cinna corral his new puppy in the shop. BRING IT.]

[Three guesses who is standing in the doorway of the shop, scooping up that runaway dog into his arms like a champ.

Yeah, it's some green-eyed tool, go figure.]

Since when do you have a dog?

[Ruby is quick and she leans down to scoop the puppy up in her arms, one hand scratching under it's chin.]

This yours?

[Contrary to popular belief, she likes puppies. She follows Sam Winchester around after all.]

[He pauses, for a split second before he crooks an eyebrow. One of these days, or was he really back?]

Since all of you left and the ticking went crazy the other day. [Pause.] Well, crazier than normal. Living alone was driving me insane.

Yes, thank you.

[He's a little out of breath, but gives her a warm smile.]

I've been keeping him in the office, but he escaped.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I mean, leaving without a goodbye is kind of my thing, but not for you. You deserved better than that.

[He shrugs a little, scratching beneath the puppy's chin.]

The kids had to go. It was my job to go with them.

You couldn't have found a way to take me with you?

[His voice is perhaps a little harsher than he intended, he can't fault Finnick, he knows it isn't his fault, but the pain remains.]

Has it slipped your mind, what you would've been going back to?

You got a dog?

[Still scratching under the puppy's chin. Also holding onto him.]

What's his name?

Not for a moment. But I belong there. What will happen... [Will be painful.] ...will happen. There's nothing here for me.

[A long pause.] Not anymore.

He doesn't have one yet, I just adopted him yesterday.

[He supposes he could make some conversation before going to look for wherever the little darling dropped his device.]

Any suggestions?

[There's a pause as he stops to pick up the device. You can hear him call out, "Just keep after him, he'll stop eventually."]

Peeta?

Yes, Cinna?

[His voice goes soft. There's no reason not to say it, since they both know it and there's no sense in shying away from it, but even so, he finds himself dodging it, as though speaking the words aloud would make it more real. Too real.]

We wanted Rue to stay here for the same reason. At least here there's a chance. When it does come time for your turn to go...

Sorry, I wasn't sure for a moment - doesn't matter. Are you alright?

Of course I am.

I won't remember a thing that happened here, Finnick. And I have no regrets about what I've done or what it will cost me.

[He looks around before motioning back towards his office.]

Come, please, we can talk in my office. I should lock that little devil up again.

[He keeps it light because it's still an open network.]

[He nods--and isn't this familiar, a rendezvous like this? It's almost like his first day in the City all over again--and follows Cinna back into the office, keeping a firm hold on the wriggling puppy until the door is securely shut to prevent any further mishaps.]

I would've thought you'd go for something fluffier.

Oh, I think you'd be surprised, Peeta, given sufficient reason the feasts can last for weeks. [He chuckles.] I've had to redo entire wardrobes after a good holiday season, and the do them back again once the weight was removed.

I don't know if surprise would be a good thing in this scenario.

Like the little things that women carry around with them? I admit, the idea of something small and fluffy that I could style had it's appeal, but that's one cliche I won't indulge.

[He gives the puppy a friendly pat. It makes him glad to have something to care for besides the shop.]

I asked for the biggest, friendliest animal they had and I got this.
