[Buffy is sitting next to the window at Cafe Juliet, looking out to the crowds. It's probably pretty clear she's looking for someone(s) in particular. She smiles at the device]

Welcome to the City. Stay out of the Underground, don't feed the deities and have a nice probably temporary stay.

It's like home minus the impending apocalypse. There's a shop off the square called Passione. You'll like it.

But what are you doing here?

And why are you acting like this is normal? This entire place reeks of a hell dimension.

Teaching self defense classes, fighting in an arena where people bet on the fights and trying to make sure Dawn stays out of trouble.

This is normal for me right now. I'm trapped here but if we're all very lucky you'll get to go home in the next twenty-four hours. Also, hell dimension is probably a really good description.

On any other day, I'd take it that you don't want me here. But I'll take that as a compliment.

Is Dawn a good friend with trouble?

I...actually meant it as one. You'd hate it here. Probably.

[Right. She forgets sometimes people don't know Dawn.]

At least once a week.

I hate being in alternate dimensions that don't crown me their ruler.

[ fact. and she also hated that dimension, but she's just going to go with this. ]

Sounds like a natural Sunnydaler. I'd be disappointed if she wasn't.

We could talk to the deities here but I'm going to go with 'not going to happen'.

You could say she grew up there. Just sort of...under the radar.

Under the radar is probably better than on the radar. But if these deities don't answer their phone when you call them, it probably doesn't matter.

How bad does this place get?

On a scale from normal to Sunnydale in May...usually not May, more like April or March. [She figures this is a scale that Cordy will get.]

You know, I don't even know why I ask. Normal and us just don't mix.

It would be nice if an alternate dimension meant we got to sit back and relax for one entire day. Instead of fighting red faced demons or ... whatever this place is, really.

[A sigh] Yeah...[Because Cordy is right]

Oooh a spa dimension or a mall dimension. How come we never get sucked into those? I'd settle for a movie theater dimension.

[...what? Is this bonding?]

You might want to be careful with that movie dimension. You wouldn't want to be stuck watching the ones that suck for the rest of your life. Or the ones that lack George Clooney.

[ it sure does feel like it! and it's nice; at least this dimension isn't as horribly lonesome as pylea or the one connor was stuck in. ]

Good point. I'll have to get specific when I'm naming dimensions I'd be alright with being stuck in. The one without George Clooney would be tragic.

[Definitely better than those. The City is friendly at least.]

This is more Wesley's territory. I just want the hotties. Brad Pitt circa Thelma and Louise is on my must-have list for dimensions.

They've got that at the video store here. Dawn and I rented it a few weeks ago.

This has to be one of the most technologically impressive dimensions yet. And I've only been to Pylea! Which, by the way, could really do with a car or two. My shoes were not made for walking.

More movies here then we've got at home even.

[That gets a bit of a frown.] Sorry, cars are limited. I've got a motorcycle a friend of mine built.

[And she's learned to ride it.]

[ she smiles. it's all said good-naturedly! she just never imagined buffy summers, vampire slayer, with a motorcycle. though, it does make sense. cordelia did think she was in a gang once upon a time. ]

[Buffy smirks a little and shrugs.]

I had a very cool boyfriend here in the City that built it and left it to me when he went home.]

Did he happen to be a vampire?

[Now she's just going to look offended even if Cordelia does have a point.]

I don't exclusively date vampires! He was a normal guy!

On a scale of one to blood-sucking?

[ okay, she can't talk. she liked xander. ]

How many normal guys have you dated?

He was seriously hot, okay? and no blood sucking.

[Xander's not bad. Just...goofy]

Eliot...[Thinking, thinking here] Does Riley count? He was mostly normal. Not a vampire at least.

Wasn't that the soldier guy? That's not normal. [ she's a bit jealous. and she likes that she can (or could) get information out of willow. ]

You definitely have a type. If he isn't undead, he's a man with a mission. You definitely like them strong, huh? [ haha, now she's just teasing. ]
