[Yes, the device that's recording is most definitely Raymond's, but the puppy face that's peering into the camera most definitely is not. Or maybe it is, as those who know him might note something vaguely familiar about those blue eyes...

Anyway, once he notices that the device actually is recording, he starts barking up a storm. Or yipping, rather. Either way, the puppy is clearly pissed off.]

[Well, okay. That is adorable. Stephen's been here long enough to think he recognises a cursed person from a regular dog at any rate.]

[You get a growl for that, Stephen. A puppy growl, but still. Can't you see that he is very clearly not okay?]

Okay, calm down dude. I'm just trying to help. Are you stuck somewhere?

[That time he had hooves, he couldn't get out of his own bedroom.]

[Raymond growls again, though not quite as aggressively as before, and trots off-camera. Though he's out of frame, if Stephen can hear the barks (yips) he's making, he can probably hear him scratching at his bedroom door as well.]

Okay dude, I'm on my way. Man, this curse sucks when you don't get thumbs.

[He clicks through his device to start the gps tracking Neil worked out before he left. Say want you want about that guy, but he worked out every damn thing they could do. At the last minute he bring Nymeria over with him. She's still a puppy at heart, after all.]

...Raymond?

[He peeks cautiously through the front door when he arrives, Nym's leash still firmly in his hand.]

[Fortunately it's not exactly difficult for Raymond to hear Stephen when he arrives. He starts barking (yipping) again from where he's trapped in his bedroom and scratches furiously at his door.]

[He shuts the door behind him and lets Nym off her leash before he opens the door where the scratching an yipping is coming from.]

Um. Hi?

[One of the perks of being a puppy is boundless energy, so he doesn't even hesitate to zoom out past Stephen once that door is open. He stops short as soon as he notices the other dog, though, and starts barking all over again, only this time with his little hackles raised.]

[Which of course set Nym off as well, crouching down on her front legs to bark back.]

Hey, stop it, girl.

[She gets a little shake on her collar. It seems a big rude to scruff someone who's normally a lot older than you, so Stephen leave him be for now.]

So uh, you hungry or something?

[Raymond growls and barks again, though his tail is wagging a bit by now; that'll show you, other dog. Actually, make that more than a bit when Stephen asks him that question. Damn these puppy instincts.]

Okay, lets see if you have anything.

[Stephen meanders over to the kitchen. Now that he's stopped barking, Nym comes over to poke at him with her nose, making a few curious whining noises.]

[The poking comes as something of a surprise, at least to puppy Ray, and it's enough of a surprise to get him to start barking again. What are you doing, other dog.]

[Damn, you need to keep more food in the house, Raymond. What is he supposed to do this? Then there's more barking and he comes back in the living room to scoop him up in a squirmy puppy heap.]

Maybe bringing her was a bad idea. You seem territorial.

[Today was supposed to be grocery day, okay. He's not exactly pleased to be picked up like that, and he responds to it by squirming and fussing as much as he can, but there's not much more he can do to fight it than that. Well, nothing dignified, anyway.]

[ She comes out of her room fairly quickly, giving him a look. ] Mr Leon?

[What's left of his rational mind is telling him to run off and hide somewhere else in the apartment, while his newly found puppy instincts want to stay and bark and maybe get her to play with him. The result is one internal conflict that he isn't quite currently well-equipped to deal with, but he does get as far as barking and whining at her.]

[ Studying him for a moment, but— he's cute. So she's stepping closer even though they'd both usually maintain their distance, holding out a hand. ]

[Raymond doesn't exactly know what to make of that. So the puppy brain kicks in for him, and he noses into her hand while wagging his tail. At least she's far from the worst person who could've found him like this.]

[ Oh. Well, in that case, she will pet him, if a little hesitantly. ] Are you sentient?

[He barks at that, though his tail involuntarily starts wagging harder when she pets him. That should pass for a yes, right? Hopefully.]

[ Scratching behind his ears now. ]

[He barks once, naturally, though he can't quite help the way his head leans into those ear scratches. This is going to be intolerable whenever he turns back to normal. If he turns back to normal.

He had better turn back to normal.]

[ He'll turn back to normal. And she won't speak of it. Not a word. It's just that he's really cute and, well, she has a weakness for cute animals. ]
