[ No-one really wants to work on days like this - either because of the crowds or because someone important might visit - and all that really means for Tyr is that he's stuck serving too many tables at Hymns of Lorelai. And it's even crowded enough there that his device actually turns on from his pocket when someone bumps into him. ]

Hey, you-- [ The cups and plates clink together on the tray he's holding, but at least he doesn't drop them. Although he tosses a glare at the person, he doesn't even know if they were already there or if they just decided they wanted to squeeze into the restaurant by force. All he knows is they aren't dressed like him, so they aren't there to help wait on people.

Sighing, he lays the plates on the table. ] Sorry about that... You ordered this, right...?

Just for a visit. [ She grins at him and starts making her way through the crowd. Surely these people won't mind her saying hello. ] Nice ears.

[ They're not allowed to mind when he hasn't seen her in so long. Once they're close enough, he takes hold of her hand. ] Thanks. I heard they suited me.

[ Pff, hands. She hugs him firmly. ] I don't know. Do you twitch your nose enough?

[ She remembers bunnies from her tenure here. Aska used to keep them. They never seemed to do much. ]

[ dkjgh Presea... He laughs awkwardly as he returns the hug with one arm. ] Sometimes. I could twitch it for you.

[ Tyr thinks rabbits are just delicious... ]

Don't worry about it. How have you been? It feels like it's been ages. Or really, it feels like it hasn't been long at all, but the City has changed.

The City is always changing. [ It's said a little dismissively as he pats her back. ...Not that he's letting go juuust yet. ] I've been okay, though... The good points and the bad points have been balancing each other out... [ This is where he pulls away to look at her. ] How about you?

I'm glad to hear it. [ She really is. Tyr should be happy, even if he has to be here. ] Good, good! Of course, I didn't remember anything when I went home. But it was all here, waiting for me to come back. I wish I hadn't forgotten.

[ He laughs with a little discomfort. ] It would have probably been more frustrating if you remembered everything back home... [ Thinking of the wedding. ] I'm glad you didn't forget this place entirely, though...

Well, it meant we had to sort out everything again. Still working on that, really. [ There wouldn't be another wedding for a while. ]

I'm glad, too. I remember how disorienting it all was at first...

Disorienting? [ Thinking she means all her memories coming back. ] You'd think the deities would take care of that so it's not so bad...

I don't think they can help it when you've never seen electric light before! [ She laughs. ] It's nice not to have to learn it all again. Although I suppose we won't be staying long. It's so strange to be the visitor instead of the visited.

[ He nods slowly, not entirely pleased that she definitely has to leave again. ] I bet...

[ Brightening up, he tugs her hand and pulls her further into the restaurant. ] But since you're a visitor, that means you should be treated like one. Let me get you something.

Oh, you don't have to... But thanks.

[ She doesn't resist, squeezing his hand affectionately and following him into the mess of people. ]

[ He smiles back at her, just giddy at the thought of being with his friend again. ]

I won't be able to just spend time with you for a while, so this is the least I can do.

[ He heads her into the back...to the break room! Which is actually pretty nice since it's that kind of restaurant. ]

It's much quieter back here. Is it all right for me to be here?

[ She doesn't work here, after all. ]

No-one'll complain. Just say I brought you back here if someone asks.

[ TYR RAN THIS PLACE BEFORE so he...hopes that gives him some clout. If not, well, he never really liked being a waiter... ]

All right. Come on, sit down with me and tell me what's been going on. It's been six months -- you must have stories.

[ ...Well, he guesses someone will be coming to take over for him soon anyway... He pulls up a chair and take a seat at one of the tables. ]

Same for you. I can't believe it's really been half a year...

It's been longer for me, actually. Almost two years... Still, this feels like yesterday.

I wish you could see what we've made of our country, Tyr. It's so much better now.
