[Good afternoon, City. You may notice a few new additions throughout the downtown area. In fact, they're awfully hard to miss: enormous purple and orange boxes with a 'W' printed on them, and - is that lid hinged?

Get close enough and you'll find out.

At a touch, or if a person spends more than a few seconds in its proximity, the lid springs open, revealing a grinning redheaded figurine wearing a garishly purple suit and a tie that you really oughtn't look at for too long if you value your retinas. In its hands is a sign that reads:

WEASLEYS' WIZARD WHEEZES IS NOW OPEN
[ADDRESS]
MENTION "FLABBERGASTED LEECHES" FOR 10% OFF ONE ITEM!

And then, thirty seconds after opening, there is a burst of confetti before the lid slams shut again.

[The twins had left him the shop, and as much as she'd pitched in now and again with inventory, this is his project now, isn't it?]

The twins left plans for them. They were rather rough, and it took a fair amount of experimenting to get them properly working, but yes. It is so.

I'm proud of you, you git.

[She really is. All pleased and warm and proud.]

They would be, too.

[And that? Those two sentences? Made everything (getting home at one in the morning and getting up at six, the pranks gone wrong, the failed incantations and all the blue hair) worth it.]

Thank you. I'm glad.

[She knows how hard he's worked. The times they'd both gotten home after midnight from their respective jobs, indulging in a late dinner or mug of hot chocolate. She's heard of it and now she's seeing it and it's the sort of thing she's wanted—Percy understanding and joining in that madder side of his siblings.]

How couldn't I be?

[She pauses.]

I let their shop close the last time they left. I didn't know how to do all this, or if I should even try. But you—it's the right thing, Perce.

[He's glad this is audio-only, so she can't see the look that crosses his face. Because he's still not sure this is the right thing, that he's the right person. He's doing his damnedest to try to be the right person, but he doesn't know if the skills that apply so easily to legislation and speeches and organization can translate to a joke shop.]
