You know, I get enough of school back home. I really don't see the need for curses like that and I'm glad it's over. Back to slacking off!

Well, not really.

[The video shows Setsuna at the zoo relaxing with the animals, on a clean grassy slope with the ones that can be there. This is something he takes enjoyment in, playing with them, feeding them, and then at times just laying out with them.]

I'm gonna enjoy this instead.

You needn't worry about that now~

[When Setsuna takes skyward, Karl follows, beating his wings to keep pace. He dodges the new set of energy blasts in blurred figure eights. A few are close enough to singe his skin - but the pain is inconsequential in the face of the adrenaline rush.]

[His mouth opens, but there are no words. Instead, a fierce maelstrom of pressure shoots out. Static crackles everywhere; the air goes murky, opaque, like inside a rattling snow-globe.]

[The percussive wave swoops in Setsuna's direction. Intent to unbalance him - so that Karl can get closer.]

[Setsuna isn't too sure what this static globe is, so rather than tackle it head on like the other energy blasts, he lifts his wings, using the air to rise out of the way as it shoots past. He tries not to look at where it's going or what it'll do. Instead, he aims to keep his eyes on Karl, never his turning his back.]

[It's a good thing Setsuna dodges the percussive globe. If he'd allowed it to strike him, it would've torn him helter-skelter through the air. On ground, its force is enough to tear through solid rock or steel. Something that is both handy - and disastrous - for land attacks.]

[As it is, the globe spirals through the air, tearing apart clouds before gradually dissipating. By that time, Karl has already lunged in Setsuna's direction. He pauses in mid-air to launch another deadly shower of red spikes - more as a distraction than anything.]

[Creating an opening to get closer.]

[The red spikes he recognizes, so Setsuna takes them head on. He does, briefly, wonder about using the same tactic as earlier, but brushes it off in favor of burning the spikes. Only as a ball of flame is engulfing him does he realize he's let his eyes off of Karl. Bad move. They flicker quickly, looking for him.]

[Repeating an attack is good for lulling the opponent into complacency. Which is exactly what Karl wants. The moment Setsuna's gaze unbuttons off Karl, he makes his move. In a bluish streak, he reappears behind the angel, sending an energy blast crackling at him from dangerously close range.]

[His mistake! Setsuna turns in time to find the blast, and only has time to attempt a block. He uses energy in his hands, and another wind shield, but it's a little too late, and a little too close. Still, the most it might do is singe him with his precautions. Or maybe it got him worse and he started to repair the damage.]

[The blasts are intense enough to make even a Chevalier cringe. The fact that Setsuna is only a bit startled makes Karl laugh - a rumbling manic burst. It seems the angel can heal as fast as Chevaliers too.]

[Making use of Setsuna's disorientation, he lunges again. Flying in a dizzying helix around his opponent, red spikes and energy blasts erupting from all angles.]

[Let's see how he fast he dodges this.]

[Not always. Sometimes his regeneration takes much longer, which is why he remained mutilated for a while after losing his tongue and hands.

[He is, definitely, disoriented, though. It doesn't take long, however, for Setsuna to just fly up from the blasts, then send a few of his own in Karl's direction. Some of the little blasts might have caught him, but there isn't much damage. His clothes, however, well, his shirt was done for when the wings came out.]

You know, you're pretty good at this. I could learn a few things from you. [Like to think ahead of his opponents movements.]

[He watches Setsuna both dodge and sustain damage. The latter, despite its ferocity, doesn't seem to faze him. The fact skyrockets Karl's excitement. This is exactly what he craves. A battle with a near-untouchable opponent. His Diva was a veritable goddess of carnage. His Saya - in Vietnam - had left a sea of blood in her wake. It's that intensity - that danger - that feeds Karl's fascination.]

Praise indeed~

Sparring was simply a favored pastime in my family.

[He's admittedly not as strong as his brothers. He has none of James' discipline of Solomon's graceful calculation. None of Amshel's power - and especially not Nathan's advantage of a deceptively effeminate appearance. He's always been the straightforward one. Reckless to a fault. What he does have, however, is decades of practice.]

I wonder if I should still call you a Cherub. That's one thing you certainly aren't.

[Not harmless or puny. The opposite. Setsuna's shirt may be be torn and singed - but Karl's own clothes are history. He won't be transforming back to human form anytime soon.]

It's something I haven't done enough of. I'm usually just trying to stay alive.

And I tried to tell you I wasn't a cherub! Not that you listen to much. [Still pure-hearted, though. And while he's scrawny, no, he's not harmless. Far from it. He put a college kid in the hospital when he was six. He's also, oh, look, STRAIGHTFORWARD and reckless to a fault. That's part of what defines Setsuna. Needless to say, this fight is just as satisfying to him because of that.

[He might not have decades of practice, oh, wait. He has Alexiel's practice, hundreds of years, battlefield experience. Setsuna grins.]

Now, enough talking! [He doesn't wait. Setsuna uses his speed and ability over the wind for a boost, flying right at Karl, sword, and power, ready.]

I didn't survive this long by listening to everything I was told.

[Which is, itself, a double-edged sword. Karl had served his purpose as a test-subject for the Delta Project. And he ought to have been dead by now. In another realm with his terrible, wonderful Saya. The fact that he wasn't still gnawed at him like acid.]

Hm -?

[He grins when Setsuna charges for him, full-pelt. Dodging the eyeblink attack is tricky - but he only just manages it. Swerving at the last moment to launch another energy-blast the angel's way. The skies are vast, and he has hours of time to kill.]

[He's more than ready to see how far this duel goes.]

[Setsuna's stubborn and energetic, so it could likely go on for a long while.

[Seeing Karl dodge, Setsuna makes ready to alter his course, but, of course, first is another energy blast. He deflects what he can, but then flies right through it to, well, yeah, get closer to Karl, grin still on his face.]
