Before you ask, as someone always does: I would have announced auditions this weekend, for the play, but I think under the circumstances it might be better to hold off until things are back to normal. I love when everyone comes to visit, but it does make it difficult to get work done! And I don't know that the announcement would be as widely noticed today.

Besides, I'm not sure I could concentrate; I'd much rather just visit with everyone.

In my world? Sir, there is no doubt in my mind that this is not my home, as there is no place in all the land that looks as this, but surely you do not think me so foolish as to believe that the bounds of my homeland constitute the whole of the world!

I know it seems unlikely, but I can promise you it's real. Though you may not remember it-- I think, most visitors don't, in between days like today.

Oh-- it's a little more complicated than that, I'm afraid.

This place is... another world-- not anywhere you could travel to on your own. Everyone who lives here came from somewhere else-- most of us have no way to leave. But from time to time there are days when the City opens up, a little, and more people come in to visit. It never lasts more than a couple of days, though.

We are! We have been for some time, though I think between all the revisions, and talking about direction and everything, it's understandable that it would take longer to stage something written for the City than something that already existed.

Well obviously workshopping a new play is always going to take a little longer. Or several months longer, depending on the temperament of the playwright.

It's his first one so I think it's going very well. And I think it will be well-received-- as far as I know it's the first time anyone's written a play about this place.
