[There was a bright light, a sense that he was no longer in the Pillar Room, and then… the cold hard surface of the pavement beneath his hands. Eagle struggled to look up. The experience in Cephiro had been very draining but he was here, alive, he must have been found worthy enough to become the Pillar. ]

Where is…?

[This place looked nothing at all like Cephiro. It was too developed, to ‘City-like’. He didn‘t even notice the small device sitting by his side recording everything.]

Is this also part of the test? No… I think we were both able to leave the Pillar room, but if that is the case just where is this?

[He was talking to himself or so he thought but some random citizen ran over to hug him anyway. Eagle had to chuckle a bit as the random person left again.]

At least the people here are very friendly.

[Oh! He hadn't even thought of remembering anything and something had come to him anyway. ]

That is a relief. If this fog clears quickly it might be easier to decide what to do next.

[There was something so comforting about seeing Lantis that before he had any conscious thought of having done so Eagle had crossed the distance between them and wrapped his arms around the other in a warm hug.
His memory was still clouded but some how this felt completely right. ]

I didn't mean to leave.

[He wraps his arms around Eagle to just hold him, not even caring that people can see them.]

[Even if those people stop to stare Eagle wouldn't notice them. His feelings about Lantis were so important it was only natural that those would be among the first memories to return.]

I nearly broke my promise to you.

[To abandon the Pillar System and stay in the City with Lantis. Course there wasn't much he could do about it if the deities chose to send him back.]

Were you very worried?

[Lantis smiles when he hears that Eagle remembers their promise. That's a good sign.]

It seems I am always causing you to worry, but I'm home now.

[And alive though greatly weakened for having been away from the City and the deities power that was keeping his illness at bay. ]
