[ Ariadne knows she's good at what she does. She also knows that she's constantly underestimated, whether because of her height or her age or her sex, and she hates it. She wants that recognition. Besides, there are still words ringing in her head -- "just a naive little girl", "get the fuck out of my life" -- that she tries to ignore and needs to prove wrong. ]
