[There's the sound of a motorcycle engine revving, and then it dies, quick]
Wait-
[There's another pause and the sound of someone else making a slight questioning noise]
Clint? What's going on?
Hang on, let me check my crystal ball.
[ It's deadpan, and there's the sound of him checking the contents of the bag he's still holding onto with his one treasured possession inside. ]
I'd say Fury was serious about the whole sending us off if we refused to clean up thing, but he likes you, you're his favourite, so I'm having a hard time believing that.
[ There's another pause. ]
Sorry, Steve, I got nothing on this. Well, unless you're good with blaming Stark.
we're not blaming Mr. Stark. There's something familiar about this.
[ooc: STEVE IS BACK and meet Clint Barton, City (he's speaking in purple!). Steve doesn't remember everything but it'll come back pretty quick. Expect threadjacks!]

We should get it over somewhere safe, right?
[And a pause, because there's something important, what is it---OH]
Natasha!

[ Okay, so, they live together, here, wherever here is. He should question this. ]
What can you do. You got beer in this place of yours? It's been a long week and I'm dying to put my feet up.
no subject
Probably. [ It's a mess though, hopefully nobody will notice. ] You wanna stash the bike somewhere safe?
no subject
[Friends, right?]
She might be willing to let him stay with her. I mean of course he could stay with us.
no subject
[ It's a complex relationship. No one knows. It's assassins business we can't speak of.
He looks amused as they discuss his living arrangements like he's going to be staying here a while. He's seriously missing something. ]
no subject
Uh - actually, I don't remember, but we'll be able to get into touch with Nat and Thor if you need it.
[ SO. CONFUSED. ]
no subject
[He needs a minute to remember, okay?]
no subject
[ Because he can talk, throwing the bag he's carrying over his shoulder, favoured weapon inside. ]
Fine, but I'm not as easy as I look. It'll take more than a beer to win me over.

[ Crepe doesn't want to leave Steve, so Bucky has to scoop her up thanks to her now broken lead. ] I'll leave your liver for her to eat too.
[ He glances at Steve, as though he's afraid he might just disappear again, but he's got to act like this is normal, that everything is fine. ] You uh - you remember how to get there?
no subject
[Pause. No, he doesn't want to leave Bucky but someone's gotta put the damn bike away (only damned because it's making him leave Bucky for a few minutes)]
I think so. Down the street, left, and then a right?
[See, stuff's coming back.]
no subject
[ And then he remembers, suddenly eager to get this show on the road. ]
Lead the way, Barnes.
no subject
[ Crepe whines, but Bucky just shushes her, nods at Steve as casual as you like despite the fact that his throat has a lump in it. ] See you in a bit.
[ Then to Clint. ] C'mon, if we're going to eat you, might as well get this show on the road.
[ Stepping away, back down the street. ]

The dog got a name?
no subject
[ She lifts her head up at the mention of her name. ] We didn't name her, our friend did.
[ Glancing over. ] How d'you and Rogers know each other?
no subject
He shrugs. ] We saved the world together.
no subject
[ Something tight twists in his stomach, but he's not actually going to hold this against Clint. He's just happy Steve's alive. ] Well, good on you, man.
[ But Clint doesn't look like a forties guy, and Bucky has no idea what's going on. ]
no subject
Steve'll fill you in on the details. He's got a nicer tone to his voice, and I'll leave out the boring parts.
[ Because he can't resist. ] You never checked to see if I was an evil assassin. You weren't the brains of the operation, were you?
no subject
If you were an evil assassin, then you'd be pretty fucking dumb to be anywhere near Steve. Or Nat, that dame sure can kick ass. So I'm not exactly taking a leap of faith here.
[ A pause. ] 'Sides, not exactly like I couldn't hold my own.
no subject
[ He pointed looks him up and down, snorts a laugh, and it's probably the first real expression that's touched his face since he got here. ]
Even without my baby, I could take you down easy.
no subject
Maybe we'll find out one day. I'll let you catch your breath though.
no subject
[ He claps him on the shoulder, but he doesn't expand on where he's actually going with that. ]
no subject
Careful, she's a killer. [ He doesn't know what the fuck is going on, but his apartment block is just across the street, which is okay. ]
no subject
[ He sounds like he might be speaking from experience, but it's hard to tell. He follows him across the road, letting him guide him to wherever they're going, and the only reason he trusts him is because he's Steve's famous friend and partner. And because Coulson never shut up about him. ]
This the place?
no subject
[ Bucky keys in the building code with Crepe's head on his shoulder, holds the door open for Clint because he's feeling charitable or something. ] Just a couple of floors up.
