[ With those few final touches Eagle helps the older gentleman maneuver the rather large cake into the freezer. At least it was probably a cake. It was a little difficult to make out any clear details from this distance.

Just as the freezer door shuts that is when the marshmallow army attacks. The small globs of white fluff have the advantage of surprise but unfortunately for them a weakness to laser swords. They find many of their number toasted in the first few moments of battle until they unleash their greatest weapon of all… powdered sugar!

The crippling powder obscures the camera’s view and chokes the lungs of anyone unlucky enough to be in it’s sugary maelstrom. ]

[It shouts a challenge at the screen before rejoining the battle. ]

No, really what did he just watch? He calls out again, more loudly: ]

[After a bit of light coughing a hand emerges from the powdered sugar cloud to grab the device. What a sight the poor guy makes, covered from head to toe in white powder like that.]

I suppose... this is the City's way of telling me there is a curse today.

[ Your hair is whiter than usual, Eagle. Seeing Eagle again, he just sighs. ]

It looks like it... How are you?

[There's your nightmare fuel for a while. ]

[The marshmallow sergeant can be heard barking orders to his troops in the background. Unfortunately what ever he is trying to say is in totally incomprehensible marshmallow-ese. ]

I think it's some kind of revolution? The um...

[He can't believe he is saying this. ]

...marshmallows have taken over the kitchen.

[There is a crash from behind. It sounds like a clatter of pans hitting the floor. ]

We could start a campfire?

[Marshmallows are weak to campfires, right? Ok no, maybe not. ]

If I could just get them out of the shoppe there would be fewer things they could throw at us.

I don't know about that... Can you trap them under a bowl? Then put something on top of that...

The problem is we had several dozen bags of those marshmallows and all of them appear to have come to life.

I think we would need more bowls than that...

Hmm...

...You could just step on them, too...

[ Look at them, Eagle. They're itty bitty. ]

[But they have little toothpick swords and frosting weapons... oh fine.]

Step on them... or maybe invest in a few water guns. They should be weak to water too.

[Deep sigh. ]

It will just take a while to clean up all of this.

[ Do you need combat boots to face the big bad toothpicks, Eagle... ]

I'll help you with that part... As for the water, though... Doesn't your sink have a hose attached? You could take out plenty of them with that.

[Eagle smiles just as a glob of frosting flies across the room to spatter all over the communicator screen. ]

What...? Frosting guns?

[Terrifying...Not that it'll stop her from having a sweet tooth!

Rita just stares in utter disbelief, then smacks her forehead in exasperation.]

You're under attack by your ingredients.

Dawn has been a regular customer of the sweet shop since arriving in the City (this time). In fact, she even took Buffy by there for some comfort food when Pyro, an apparent boyfriend of hers, had left the City. So today is no different.

Unable to deny the scent of baked goods, she opens the door just in time to see the attack and reaches in her bag to take out her stake. Like marshmallows could be staked like a vampire could.

She shouts into the back from the front door. "Eagle!! It's Dawn!"

It's something to consider...

[There is some chattering in the background. It is a bit difficult to make out. ]

They what?

It doesn't look like that is an option anymore. They appear to have taken my chef hostage by locking him in the pantry.

[Locked in a pantry by marshmallows could this day get any stranger?
Well, nothing for it then. Eagle almost smirks.]

I will have to form a strategy and stage a counter attack.

[It has been a while since he has been able to lead a raid. Part of him was actually looking forward to this. ]

It is strange, isn't it? They always looked so innocent.

[Why so weird city, why so weird. ]

It was difficult to see anything through the billowing sugar cloud but a few shadows in the doorway. Still her voice was recognizable enough.

"Dawn be careful!"

Eagle wasn't even sure what was attacking yet the surprise ambush had been so well timed that he had barely managed even a glance at the marshmallow army before their 'smoke screen' descended to cover their attack. And these marshmallows came heavily armed with toothpick 'swords' and bon bon spoon catapults.

The mellow sergeant was quick to assess this new threat and order his troops to aim three of their frosting canons straight at the incoming human reinforcements. He gave the order to fire and three different flavors of frosting shot across the room straight at Dawn. If she wasn't careful she might become covered in sweet sticky frosting.

It's more than strange! It's...it's totally ridiculous!

[So, so weird. But City curses as usual...]

Anyway, are you sure those things aren't overrunning you?

They do seem to have the advantage for now. We were caught totally off guard by that attack. But, I imagine I can come up with some way to change the tide of battle.

[Oh geez, a chance to use his battle skills. He is loving this more than he should. ]

Ugh, this whole thing just sounds stupid...

[Really, Eagle, enjoying a fight against marshmallows?! Rita facepalms again.]

Just threaten to melt them all if they don't cut it out!
