[She moves her hand, holding it an inch from his shirt. It glows for a moment before flames start dancing on her palm and fingers ever so slightly.] It probably won't take much. Now, please just keep heading Underground.
[Another hiss and he takes a step back, flinching away from it like he's already been burned. Something flickers under the surface of his skin, veins spreading as teeth sharpen and features twist at the threat, and he tries to move forward once, twice, but is forced to back off every time, hissing in protest at each failure because it burns and he hasn't been around long enough to push through the discomfort.
Dammit. This isn't over, not by a long shot.
He takes another step back, tilting his head as he commits her to memory, every little detail he can glean, then slinks off into the dark with a final growl. He'll be back.]
