[A pair of nimble fingers, lacing up a set of sleek black rollerskates.

A set of kneepads, secured in place.

A set of elbow pads, strapped on tight.

A set of wrist guards, pulled into position.

A sturdy black helmet, nestled snugly atop blonde hair braided back into a messy yet no-nonsense tail.

A team jacket, slung proudly over one shoulder.

Ladies and gentlemen of the City, it's time to roller derby.]

[People frequenting the Square today may want to watch how closely they walk to another person; it seems there's someone zipping around out there in full roller derby gear, taking any and all clusters of people she sees as a challenge to muscle her way through them at top speed.

Practice makes perfect, after all.]


[OOC: ROLLER DERBY CURSE. Pretty self-explanatory, really; feel free to assume she's slammed into you if you want to action her up in that respect, or just encounter her and her new-found aggressive tendencies out skating around the Square! She'll answer Network responses once she's taking a breather and water break. :D]

[An innocent supersoldier whose body mass far outmatches Rosella's, who would likely only hit double digits in weight if she were pregnant and soaking wet. Yet she still comes zooming in to try to body-check him out of her way.

Oh, yes. This should end well.]

[He spots her just as she zooms into the range of his arms and he grabs her with one, turning them both as he avoids her.

What was that.]

[Ooomp! That's probably a foul, you know, grabbing and holding like that--oh, hello, there. She wobbles a little but manages to keep her balance, shifting her weight to accommodate.]

Captain Rogers!

[He looks her up and down]

Are you in control of those things?

[primrosella]

Of what things? These?

[Lifting one foot for emphasis to show off her very nice skates.]

Yes, those.

[primrosella]

Well, of course I am, silly! They're just skates. Oh, and I can go so wonderfully fast on them, wouldn't you like to see?

[Voice;]

What do you intend to do wearing that?

[Voice;]

Why, skating, of course. It'll take plenty of practice to make sure I'm in top condition before our next match.

[Voice;]

[misterblackbird]

You mean your next race, of course.

[Voice;]

That's right. I'm rather looking forward to it, too.

And what are you up to today, then?

[Voice;]

I can't imagine having a 'match' for anything with wheels on one's feet. I think it wouldn't be safe at all.

Nothing to speak of. I suppose I'm just waiting for my father again. He's never here when we visit this town.

[Voice;]

[...Oh, dear. It didn't hit her at first, the different, younger quality to his voice, but that mention of waiting for his father seems to make a breakthrough in her otherwise curse-occupied thoughts.]

You're...back again to visit, are you? I do believe I remember you, you know. Are you staying at the Opera House again, then?

I thought I rather remembered you too, you know. Good. I'm glad I did remember you properly.

Yes, we are. Riff's here this time, though, and I'm glad of that. Father doesn't always bring him along for these visits.

[Neil's just warming up, now; weaving around obstacles to stretch his muscles, looping past her with a bright grin in his matching jacket.]

[Just look at those really nice jackets, man. Don't they look snazzy.]

Well, you look ready to go, don't you!

[Snazzy enough that he won't even question why they had them made up.]

[In his own matching jacket and skating gear, Todd's taking a brief break on a bench in the square with a bottle of water.

After a swing on the bottle, he sets it aside and swings one of his arms around, working the shoulder with the other hand slightly. He may have slammed a bit aggressively into someone with a slight height advantage.]

[That's the nice thing about Todd; you can always count on him to mercilessly bodyslam his opponents out of his way on the path to certain victory. She skates by herself, making a wide circle as she eventually comes to a stop near his side.]

I think that last one was a fine run, don't you?

[He is always willing to take out anyone who gets in his way. While he may be verbally quiet, nobody can question his competitive aggression.]
