As far as curses go, this isn't so bad. Sure beats some of the ones that happened earlier this month, and at least it's raining pictures instead of, like, cats and dogs. [ because she wouldn't put it past the city to rain actual cats and dogs.

liz can be seen shuffling through some of the pictures she's collected. she recognizes the people in some, but not others. if anything, the worst damage these photos seem to be causing is a case of supreme embarrassment - or so she believes until she comes upon a certain photograph, and instantly finds herself regretting her "this isn't so bad" proclamation minutes before. she holds it up, eyes wide, forgetting that the device is still on. ] ...oh. This is-- [ she doesn't know what, even if that pink hair seems familiar, but staring at it feels wrong and she quickly places it at the bottom of the stack, face down. ]

's no problem. [She steps over the threshold into the room and glances around to make sure the place is empty then turns back toward Liz. She holds the photos out to her.]

They seemed sorta personal.

[Rose nods, watching Liz carefully.]

He saved your life. [It seems sort of pointless to say given the picture but she figures if Liz wants to talk about it, it's an opening.]

You were dead? I mean...[Trying to be less blunt and then really...] You died?

[ liz needs to sit down to talk about this. ]

There was an argument in my parents diner between these two guys. One of them had a gun and when it went off... I got hit, and Max risked exposure to bring me back, to heal me. He dissolved the bullet and healed my wounds; broke a bottle of ketchup and spilled it on me to hid the blood that stained my uniform. That's... That's when all the alien drama started. When I got shot.

[Rose sits down next to her. She's suitably impressed, but she believes Liz. For one, she's got the photographic proof, not to mention she's seen weirder things with the Doctor.]

Did you know him before? He brought you back I mean.

Not well. I mean, we've gone to school together forever, but I never really noticed him until he saved my life.

That's sorta amazin' of him then, to risk somethin' so big to save you.

Yeah, it really was.

[ but her voice is bittersweet. she broke up with max over tess, over his destiny, and ran all the way to florida to forget about him. right now, she's the farthest she could possible get from max evans and what should be the perfect opportunity to move on is only plaguing her with thoughts of what's not there. ]

[Rose scoots closer to Liz, picking up on her mood a bit. She puts her arm around Liz's shoulders.]
