[ The Doctor did not intend to make this post, which is why it doesn't really seem to be directed at the network. ] --Why would anyone want a picture of your mum slapping me? In what world does that makes sense?

[ But then he pulls the device from his pocket and speaks into it brusquely. ] Anyone's got photos of me, I don't want them. Haven't seen any worth keeping.

Except -- [ He pauses, and then continues more quietly. ] Less you find one of a planet with orange sky. Might want a look at that.

[ There's a pauuuuuuuse, and then he says, almost too reassuringly: ] Oh, no no no! Not ye-- no. Not even the same species. It would be weird.

That whole species thing doesn't stop us Summers girls. Buffy regularly dates Vampires and... okay mostly just Vampires. And I had an unfortunate first kiss incident with a Vampire... before I knew he was a Vampire, and then I dated a Thricewise Demon, which ended in badness because of me messing it up before it could be messed up in other ways.

[Deep breath.] The point is, if you like someone enough, species shouldn't matter... mostly. Cause there are some demons I've seen where the whole compatibility thing would be an issue. And by compatibility I mean in the physical way.

[ He thinks this was meant to be reassuring. In a weird way. And he really doesn't want to talk about any possible, ahem, compatibility issues. ]

Just friends. [ He pauses. Because if Dawn ends up meeting Rose, Rose will totally mention the Doctor, and then they'll be back at this again. ] At the moment. Future is a bit complicated. Two future me's are here. She's with one of them.

Future you's? Well that could get just a little bit confusing. So you're not dating yet but you will be. But if you will be and you know you will be, then why not just go ahead and do it cause you obviously like her. All of the you's could share! And it wouldn't be too weird since they're all you.

[Look at her giving relationship advice.]

It would be weird. [ Very firmly. ] Very, very weird. I don't always get along with myself.

[As weird as that sounds as the Doctor says it, Dawn actually gets it. Her life specializes in things of the weird. She grins and is half serious and half joking when she poses the next idea.]

You could take me out to lunch and make yourself all jealous. Cause... well, I don't really have a because but it would be fun to sit and munch and swap weird stories... not simultaneously with the munching and the chatting. That's just rude.

[ A quick laugh in amusement. ] Don't think I can make myself jealous. [ Totally not true, btw. But he'll pretend so. ] But I can do lunch. And conversation, around the eating part.

Good, you can tell me about the planet with the orange sky. Cause that sounds cool. Plus I've discovered that I have a whole closet full of cute clothes here that I have to find something to wear them for. A chatty lunch session sounds perfect for that.
