[ And Tyr's very annoyed voice as he tries to shoo away the two long-hair cats that are rubbing against his legs as he stands at the kitchen counter. ]

This isn't even— Sindar!

[ And a second later, another cat is plopped to the floor with the other two. ]

I don't know how Luc put up with you...

[ He finally reaches for his device to click off the feed. And probably get back to making breakfast. ]

... Imagining a bunch of people chasing after their pets is pretty fun, actually... You better start bribing this one.

I feed him. I'm pretty sure I'm his favorite.

Hmm... [ Looking at the kitten. ] I hope you're right, or your reaction when he betrays you will probably be even more fun.

Three. We're all from the same world, so we thought we'd stick together.

[blackshadow]

[ He nods. ] That's how it's always been for me, too. I guess it's something about being here that makes people want that.

People like the familiar.

[blackshadow]

I guess... It's pretty tiring not to have something familiar around in a place like this.

[boutant]

Yeah, it can be. I like learning about all the things in other worlds, though.

[blackshadow]

Yeah, that's one nice thing about being stuck here... It makes me wish we could actually see those worlds, though.

Me too. Maybe someday. [ But she's not holding her breath. ]

Maybe. There are some people here who could apparently travel between worlds before this... [ But neither is Tyr, really. ]

There are a lot of interesting people here. [ But she shrugs slightly, letting Biscuit crawl onto her shoulder. ] Then again, not all the worlds sound that great, either.

That's true... This place actually sounds better than some of the worlds out there.

What's your world like anyway?

[boutant]

Well, there's no magic or aliens or anything like that, as far as I know. It's another one of the Earths, since there are so many different ones, apparently.

[blackshadow]

It'd sort of weird to think about that, too... Like if the worlds evolved somehow since being named.

[boutant]

It really is. I know there are people who aren't from Earth, but there are so many that are...

[blackshadow]

Yeah... I always wondered why that was. The number of people from Earth is disproportionate to any other world.

[boutant]

A lot of the other worlds seem to be somewhat Earth-like, too.

[blackshadow]

That too... You'd think the worlds would a lot more different. Back home, the only other worlds I heard of were either filled with dragons or...a
dying, I guess.

[boutant]

We didn't really hear of other worlds back home. Planets, sure, but that wasn't the same thing.
