[ Ariadne is most definitely not in her room; in fact, to those who may recognize it, she is definitely in Simon and Seth's apartment. She's definitely not wearing anything that belongs to her, either; she's got one of Simon's shirts on, the collar currently crooked as she presses some ice to her shoulder. There's a bruise in the shape of a horse hoof there. When she speaks, her voice is louder than normal, like she's trying to hear herself. ]

I really want to apologize to everyone whose pets or... selves... I may have tried eating over the weekend. I was all cheetah and couldn't stop myself. To the owner of the now-missing chickens, I'm willing to pay you back, if you'd like.

[ She shifts, only to grimace, hand moving to her ribs for a moment. Ow. ]

Someone please tell me Waffle's okay. I'll be home soon, once moving stops hurting so much and the ringing in my ears goes away.

It's a long story.

[ But she'll tell it. ]

I was turned into a cheetah, tried to eat my pet bird, was kicked and shot at to get me out of the house, ended up trying to hunt things with two other big cats, wrecked an apartment, tried to hunt a man on a horse, got kicked by the horse, got shot at again, went back to the apartment where no one was trying to kill me, fell asleep with the other big cats, and woke up only to discover that we'd all changed back without any clothes on.

How is it you've had more exciting curse weekends in a few months than I have in a few years?

[She is not as jealous or admiring as she sounds, don't worry. She is just bewildered.]

[ Pulling away the ice pack to peek at her bruise-- nope, replacing that. Urgh. ]

Yeah. They're from Africa. [ Another wince as she shifts. ] Fastest land mammal on Earth.

[He sees that bruise. He knows that shape.]

Yeah. Seemed pretty fast to me.

You tried to eat your own bird?

Why were you trying to eat anyone?

I was a cheetah, Steve.

[Seth's nearly as beat-up as Ariadne is. After they split he enjoyed a relaxing day hanging out in a tree in Xanadu. There are a few upsides to being one of the lazier kinds of jungle cats. He does look pretty haggard, and clearly hasn't shaved yet today.]

I was a big cat. The spotted yellow one.

You didn't remember anything? About yourself, I mean.

I'll be okay.

[ She's going to try to move to get some of that tea, only to wince again. Come on, Ariadne. Tea. It was just Eames (sort of). And a horse. And a lot of loud noises. ]

Nothing. It was just how tasty the bird looked and how much I wanted to run.

[He gets her a mug anyway. He's a northerner. They believe tea cures everything.]

We're out of milk, sorry.

Yeah, he did. Is he okay? I didn't actually claw him or anything, did I?

Yeah, that was me. Your friend seemed pretty curious. [ Meaning Nymeria, of course. ]

I'm fine, actually. It was just a thought.

[Pause.]

Are you alright? I could probably fix some of that up for you.

That's fine.

[ But since he's brought it to her, she can sink back down and just sip it. ]
