[ When the feed clicks on.. Curtis is soaked. He looks pretty pissed about it, too, as his eyes focus to the dark cloud above him. Rain continues to fall down on him as his glare hardens. Some people were going to find this so funny; he probably should have chosen audio. ]

I don't know what the fuck it is, but if anyone can tell me how to make it stop I'd appreciate it. [ And he continues to stare up, almost hopefully, before shaking his head and running his hand down his face.

It isn't as productive as he'd hoped it would be. ]

I wanted to ask about jobs in this place. Is there a bar or... anything.. that's hiring?

[ alisha frowns. she doesn't realise he's moving closer - or why, really - because he's always such a whiny bitch. ] I'll look at it if I fucking want to!

he'll let go in about two minutes, though. ]

[ she really should've seen it coming. ] Hey! [ she doesn't know where to put her hands. she can't slide them in between them to push him away. so she just goes to awkwardly hug him while trying to slap him away. ] What the fuck! [ :( why does it always rain on alisha? ]

[ you think it rains on you? honey, walk a mile in curtis's shoes. but when he pulls away, he puts the distance back between them and--

that felt really really awkward. he's not sure he's ever really hugged her before. so. he's just going to throw his arms out to his sides and shrug. ]

[ alisha's now looking at the puddle she's standing in. she should sound more angry, but she's on the verge of laughing - she isn't sure what to think or feel other than cold. she isn't going to think about the hug since ... they don't do hugs, or any of that shit, do they? they've never hugged before, because of her power, and they never do in the future (that she knows of).] Why the fuck did you do that?

[ he folds his arms over his chest because now he's cold and wet, but the rain stops, because he doesn't know why, but everything about this.. is just making him want to laugh. so he's biting back, but it's hard when she looks like she's about to, too. ] You scared away my fucking rainbow.

Don't blame me! I didn't do anything to your rainbow. [ ... except it reappeared? well, the dark cloud curtis is so well known for is absent. ] Are you happy again?

You scared it. [ he knows it's there, he can feel it, and he's smiling so it just has to be. but he's not looking. ] You're a mess.

[ he's point out around her hair now. ]

Because of you. [ she's smiling. oh, is that sort of a laugh?

alisha makes a face, but she's still chuckling. hahaha. ] I like it when you're all broody. You're weird when you hug.

[ she won't say she liked it. :( she doesn't have those normal friendshippy moments with her old friends. or with them, really. it's always with simon. which is nice and fills 75% of her quota for being normal, but the 15% is her friends not being fuckwits or like nathan. ]

Nah. [ he ducks his head to hide his smile, chewing at his lip before looking back up to her.

he's trying to be broody, really, because laughing at this shit feels so juvenile and stupid. but he can't. so. haha he gives a small laugh. ] Wasn't meant to be a friendly hug, was meant to get you wet.

[ which was still so. fucking. weird. he pauses before continuing, though. ]

I seriously ain't never hugged you.

[ that's what she said. /shot. she frowns, but she's still grinning. ] Well, kind of doesn't help when you turn people into horny pricks when they touch you. [ ... elephant in the room again. ] Do you only hug people just to rain on them? Because that would make you a prick.

I know it's just.. weird. Hugging you now. [ and he feels like a little kid smiling, missing that elephant. ]

[ she glances up at his not-a-rainbow and points at it. ] I'm waiting for the pot of gold, then I'll be fucking happy.

[ and he goes to look but wait! he sees what you did there. not looking. ]

Yeah? What's gold going to get you in this place?

[ she laughs. ]

A really big house. Maybe out of the city. [ she's not really talking about this city, either. ] A much better life than this, yeah?

By the beach? Or maybe just someplace quieter. Away from everything. [ neither is he. ]

I didn't know you liked the beach. Wouldn't the sound of the waves annoy you?
