[he’s doing his best to remain quiet after seeing what those creepy things were doing to some of the people, after personally being chased by one, crouched down in what looked to be an alley.] It wasn’t really the kind of thing we expected to run away from when coming back from getting groceries, hm, Gazelle?

[crouched down next to him is Gazelle and by the anxious, very anxious look on her face that would be a definite no. she gives her head a shake and replies as quietly as possible as well.]

Mm, no... But we should do something, shouldn't we? [she says this because she believes they should, but the tone in her voice pretty much suggests that she doesn't want to fight those things either.]

Yeah, we can’t stay here all day. Not when they’re already looking. [hum, what to do, what to do.] Maybe we can find-- Gazelle!!

[the thought goes unfinished due to a Dalek flying down suddenly behind the girl, Akira’s reflexes kicking in and pretty much throwing her out of the way-- just in time for the ray to hit him instead after a resounding EXTERMINATE. excuse the shaky feed suddenly just pointing in whatever direction it happened to land in, City. the owner just got disintegrated.]

[amidst the chaos, she yelps loudly in surprise at being pushed out of the way. the device lands in a position where it can briefly catch the moment where she CRASHES right into a bin on the other side of the alley before it cuts out abruptly.]

( they were nothing alike. not in the slightest. lind was only protecting gazelle for completely selfish reasons. he needs her! that's what it all comes down to.

he slams his fist against the wall after they step into the bakery, partly to release some frustration and partly to catch her attention. )

[ there wasn't a need to reply to that. instead, Lind made his way across the building, over to the counter, and tapped a hand against the top of it. ]

Hey, Gazelle-- it's time to go now, okay?

[The noise created by Ikki's punch does catch her attention, but she only moves to pop up from behind the counter when she hears him and then Lind calling her out. What is more noticeable than it had been on the feed is a few minor cuts here or there on her shoulders and arms (probably from falling in the alley before). For a moment she gives them and the room a quiet look around.]

... Are you sure it's safe? [Which is said almost too hesitantly, before her eyes rest to outright stare at Lind and the same kind of eyes she really has.]

( he's waiting by the door, not bothering to go over to her because quite frankly, this is really all lind's business and he can't help but be a little bitter about the whole situation.

[ Lind ignores the staring-- for the most part. he knows why, there's no reason to address it at the moment. instead, he just moves a hand out towards Gazelle, palm up. ]

So we'd better move fast.

[moving her arm up, she wipes her face to keep the tears back and nods a couple of times to the both of them.]

[then she takes lind's offered hand to jump and slide over the counter to the other side.]

( that's the most important question he has at the moment, set aside all of the weird clone problems going on here. this was his actual first time meeting gazelle and this . . . third personality and he was pretty sure that this whole situation sucked.

[ as soon as Gazelle was over the counter, he moves his hand down, tucking his thumb in the belt loop on his pants. ]

[Gazelle takes a deep breath and exhales anxiously (trying not to keep it in and everything) and turns her attention to Ikki, who in her opinion is acting strange. she moves a little ways to the door and stops before cutting in,]

Who's beandick? Are you going to look for him too? [the question is directed more so to Ikki.]

[and yes she heard the part about going home to Kaito (and she really wanted to too), but if someone else was out there, helping them was more important.]
