[Rose has the day off so she's spent it being lazy: caught up on her sleep, read her book, watched TV, took a bath. That sort of thing. She's finally decided to venture out for some chips and maybe a milkshake. She's got her mp3 player and her ear buds in so it takes her a little while to see what's going on. When she sees it the first time, her throat goes dry and for an instant she thinks maybe it's a coincidence. Or maybe the Doctor is having a laugh. She steps outside with some trepidation, looking for another one. It's there scrawled on the sidewalk in front of her. Her heart beats faster and her breath is coming in strangled pants as she breaks into a jog, looking for the next one. She doesn't have to go far. It's been spray painted on a brick wall. She stops, turning in a circle, realising that it's everywhere. Overnight, the City has been covered in Bad Wolf graffiti. She jerks the ear buds out of her ears and fumbles for her device, flipping it on.]

Something's happenin'. Don't know what yet but you all ought to be careful. Be aware. Stay inside.

[She quickly puts in some filters and makes some requests locked to individual people]

[At this point, she's just scarcely keeping the panic out of her voice.]

Doctor! Jack, Donna, we need--have you looked outside?

I ran outside to see all the graffiti. On the hunt for the kind of weapons that can do some good against it if it is what I think it is. Whatever I get, I'll try to get one for you too, alright? I'm not gonna leave you high and dry on this.

I'm headed down into the vaults just off the new hub. It has an armory that should still be well stocked.

New hub and vaults? There's a new hub and vaults? Keeping secrets from me, Gwen?

Meet me at the entrance to the Underground and I'll show you what I've found.

[While he still doesn't know his way around the City completely. The Underground is a place he has taken note of. So he's pretty prompt with arriving there and finding Gwen.]

[As soon as he's within arm's reach, she slips into the entrance, then a few feet into the tunnels, she veers off to the left, one hand sliding along the nearby wall. Pausing, she tests a few spots before a soft click can be heard, then a portion of the wall slides away. It's dim in the newly revealed tunnel, but Gwen's prepared for that thanks to the flashlight she's got in her hand.]

Our 'predecessors' built it. Full hub with Torchwood tech, though it's a bit older than what I've been using back home. Vaults about half the size we had back in Cardiff, too.

[Jack stands back just far enough to watch and learn. He's going to commit this to memory for forever, just in case. It's still pretty unnerving to him to think about their predecessors, but in a situation like this, beggars can't be choosers. He follows her into the tunnel, keeping his space but also sticking close enough that he can jump in front if anything were to attack them in the mostly dark.]

Well, this could potentially be a life saver. Do... Ianto and Tosh have access to this place too?

[With the ease she's moving through the tunnels, it's clear she's been down here more than a few times. Another few twists and turns and she pauses at another door. Glancing over her shoulder, she makes sure he's got the passcode before opening the door to let him see just what they have to work with.

It's smaller than the other Hub, but that's no shock. Smiling faintly, she nods to the open space before leaning herself against a nearby wall in case he has questions.]

Well, go on. Have a look, if you want. It's not so big, but it's almost an exact rebuild of the original. Just scaled down a bit.

[Yep, he has the passcode now, committing it to memory along with everything else. Even for as small scale as it is, Jack is impressed. And it also fills him with a sense of relief when he sees the weapons. He could kiss them, the weapons. He could kiss Gwen too for knowing that this place is here. He should have known she would come through in a pinch. She always has.]

Oh this will do just fine. Bigger isn't always better, contrary to popular belief. Killed some bots that were ready to saw me in half one time on Satellite Five with a gun that was yay big. [His fingers indicate just a few inches of length.] Did the job and more.

[Smirking, she pushes away from the wall and pads over to what's a close replica of her usual station in the little hub.]

Figures you could do the job with such a little... gun.
