Heh, looks like a pretty crazy day today, doesn't it?

[The guy in the video, if any of you happen to recognize him, seems sort of different today. Taller, for one. Maybe a deeper voice? Whatever the difference is, his smile is the same as ever, and he grins cheerfully at the camera.]

You guys shouldn't let curses get you down though! Whether you're suddenly bigger or smaller or feathered or lost or a brand new parent, you should face it head on and smile. It might even be fun!

[He glances away from the screen after that last comment, as if some sudden thought had caught him by surprise.]

Come to think of it, I should probably go out and do something too.

[[Elmer's aged-up today! By quite a lot. Replies will be coming from

unfrowning!]]

Of course! I'll teach you everything you want to know. You might even want to be a magician when we're done!

A magician?

A magician's someone who can do all sorts of tricks like the one I showed you. Or better!

Okay.

[ He'll just wait over by the arcade, then. Since 'okay' was obviously a valid response to that sentence. ]

[Any response is perfectly valid to Elmer, and he'll be showing up at the arcade in very short order, looking around for his brand new magical magician sidekick.]

[ Akito waited, back pressed up against the wall of the arcade, with his eyes trained on-- whoever happened to pass by during his time spent there. ]

[Soon enough, Elmer came jogging down the street, skidding to a stop in front of the arcade, and--]

Hey there! Did you wait long?

[with a smile and a wave.]

[ A shake of his head was all the response Akito was giving, before he moved forward, extended a hand out-- ]

[ --and latched his fingers onto the edge of Elmer's shirt. ]

The coins?

--Ahaha. I've got them right here, see?

[He pulls some out of his pocket and offers them to Akito.]

Wanna try that trick now?

[ Reaching a hand out, he grabbed onto one of the coins, running his fingers over it for a little while. ]

...

Okay.

All right then, pay very close attention.

[He twirls a coin between his fingers and--drops it backwards down his sleeve.]

And to make it appear in the other hand, you've got to have a secret extra coin hiding there.

[He tilts his other arm, and a coin slides out of his sleeve and into his hand.]

[ There is a pure look if disappointment that these few icons cannot express. ]

That's it?

[ He was hoping for it actually disappearing, or something. :c ]

[Aww...let's see if he can try to patch this up somehow.]

Well...I can't teach you real magic, that's for the magicians! I saw a magician get stabbed by a whole bunch of swords and come out of it without a single hole in his outfit, for example. You can learn tricks though, to make it look like you're doing magic.

[ A pause. ]

[ A very, very long pause. ]

Really? Someone did that?

He did! And he turned cards into balloons, and made tables spin without ever touching them. Real magic!

[He spreads out his arms wide, as if to say "It was this amazing!"]

How did he do it?

Now that's something I can't tell you. You see, when you become a magician one of the biggest rules you have to follow is not to tell anybody how you did it. Like a secret society.
